I was disappointed with my Agoda booking. The hotel I stayed at was actually a 2-star property, but Agoda listed it as a 3-star hotel. I also found that Agoda’s price was around 30% higher than the hotel’s direct room price. What was more frustrating was that Agoda displayed a discount, but even after applying the discount, the final price was still higher than the hotel’s regular direct price.This made the discount appear misleading. My advice is to always check the hotel’s own website or contact the hotel directly before booking through Agoda, as the “discounted” Agoda price may not always be the cheapest option.
