Had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Fort House, Diu. The property beautifully blends heritage charm with modern comfort, offering breathtaking views of Diu Fort and the Arabian Sea. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed.What truly made our stay special was the warm hospitality and attentive service from the staff, who went above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. The food was delicious, and the peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect place to relax and unwind.A truly exceptional property in a stunning location. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Diu. We had a great experience at the fort house Diu. Excellent staff! Made us feel special in every aspect. Great hospitality overall!They have the best restaurant and bar team - Arun, Jayesh, Sonal, Dipshika and Shubham.The front desk staff is also very cooperative and welcoming - Kayo and Deepti were great with their hospitality.The rooms are spacious! Food is great! Amazing location.The biggest Diu attraction - Diu Fort is just opposite the hotel. Walking distance! You can take a morning walk at the Fort. INS khukri is also just 500 mts away.Beautiful location!Thank you The Fort House! We wish to visit again soon!

Not "Pawsome"’Cold Food and Rude Service at The Fort House DiuRating: 0.5/ 5I chose The Fort House Diu (IHCL SeleQtions) because of their "Pawsome" branding, expecting the signature IHCL hospitality for both myself and my pet. Unfortunately, the experience was the polar opposite of what was promised.The Issue: Substandard Pet DiningI ordered boiled chicken for my pet, which was served refrigerator-cold. There is absolutely no logic in serving boiled chicken cold to a pet; it is a health risk and shows a lack of basic care. When I called In-Room Dining to provide what I intended to be "genuine feedback," I was met with a rude and defensive attitude. The staff member flatly denied that the food was cold, showing zero empathy or willingness to listen.A Matter of PrincipleThe service recovery was non-existent. No senior manager or responsible person bothered to address the situation. To ensure my complaint was seen as a matter of principle and not a plea for a discount:I paid the full bill for my family’s entire meal.I returned the food completely untouched.I left because the hospitality I expected from an IHCL SeleQtions property was entirely missing.Lost Brand Loyalty & Cancelled PlansThe impact of this experience was so profound that it changed my travel plans immediately. I was scheduled to stay at the IHCL Sasan Gir property the very next day following my checkout from Diu; however, I have decided to cancel that stay and go against it. The lack of professionalism here has completely eroded my confidence in the "Pawsome" program across the chain.A Professional Perspective for IHCL ManagementAs a practicing Advocate, I am well aware of the legal avenues available for such a blatant lack of service and the provision of food that could have easily made my pet sick. However, I have no desire to pursue legal action. My intent is to warn fellow pet parents and alert the Senior Management of the IHCL Group. These "Pawsome Stays" advertisements are misleading. IHCL needs to urgently audit the staff quality at this property and prioritize genuine customer experience over marketing labels.Final VerdictDo not be misled by the branding. Between the cold food and the dismissive staff, this property fails the basics of pet-friendly hospitality. Paying a premium for "IHCL SeleQtions" should guarantee respect and quality’neither were present here. This was a total breakdown of hospitality standards
