The Fort Ramgarh

As you walk inside the tallest Door in India, ambling past ancient sundials, bending to look inside a massive well or an unused tunnel it would strike you that perhaps someone has gently picked the back of your collar and dropped you into the unturned pages of a history book which has magically come to life.Ramgarh fort built by Raja Ram Chander is located at the hilltop having amazing Shivalik hillocks on the back drop. It is yet another historical monument turned into a heritage hotel with luxurious facilities and not even a paper thin architectural trait has been destroyed by the touch of modernization. This fort is located around 1 hour from Nalagarh and hence, one should factor in the time.

We have attended family dinner in Their restaurant name DASTERKHAN and food was amazing, service was quick and ok reasonable intervals, this is veg restaurant and they doesn't have BAR, so no alcohol is available but soft drink are served.Recommended for Vegetarian, Jain meals

Rating: 0/5 stars (I wish I could give negative stars)We booked the entire Ramgarh Fort Resort for my niece’s wedding a few days ago, expecting a beautiful heritage property to make the day memorable. Instead, it turned into a complete nightmare because of the unbelievably rude, unprofessional, and arrogant behavior of the hotel management and staff.From the very first hour of the function, things went horribly wrong. There was a pending balance of less than ’2 lakh (we had already paid ’18+ lakh), but instead of discussing it politely, the staff switched off ALL the lights and power of the venue right when the function was about to start. The wedding was delayed by almost an hour, guests were sitting in darkness, there was chaos everywhere, and the manager and his team started shouting at the bride’s brother and even the groom in front of everyone. Absolutely disgusting and humiliating behavior.We had booked the whole property, all guests were staying in rooms, yet they kept harassing us to clear every single pending bill immediately ’ including taxes and charges for rooms that people were going to check out from only the next morning. Their attitude? ’Sir, we are doing 2-3 functions every day for the last two months, we don’t care about any single event.’ Basically telling us straight to our face that our wedding means nothing to them.The manager with the French beard was the worst ’ arrogant, aggressive, and spoke to the family as if we were beggars on the street. No courtesy, no understanding, zero flexibility.To make it even worse, exactly at 10 PM they themselves called the police, complaining about music, even though they had delayed our function by nearly 2 hours because of their power-cut drama! The police came, we explained everything, politely agreed to lower the volume, and the police left after warning us lightly. But this manager kept threatening us the whole night ’ ’Police case ho jayega, ab dekh lo’’ Total harassment.Food was terrible, service was pathetic, hospitality non-existent. The property looks old and grand in photos, but in reality it’s poorly maintained and definitely not worth even half the money they charge.If you want your most special day to be filled with humiliation, arguments, police visits, and lifelong trauma, then by all means book Ramgarh Fort Resort. Otherwise, PLEASE STAY AWAY. There are hundreds of better venues that actually respect their clients and understand the meaning of a wedding.Completely heartbroken and disgusted. Never again.

Our experience at The Fort Ramgarh has been deeply disappointing, unprofessional, and outright shocking ’ especially considering we had guests staying for a family wedding.Despite having almost the full payment already settled (over ’17 lakhs) and only a balance of ’2.6 lakh pending, the hotel staff switched off the lights and began harassing us while guests were still staying on the property. Instead of speaking politely, the staff behaved aggressively and ganged up, surrounding the family and creating an unnecessarily hostile situation.The way they spoke ’ arrogant, rude, and boastful about ’doing business non-stop’ ’ showed that they have no understanding of hospitality. The manager, in particular with french beard ,was extremely disrespectful and continued raising his voice, even though we were calmly trying to manage the situation.Their message was very clear:’Pay every penny in advance, otherwise we will turn off the lights.’This is unacceptable behaviour for any hotel, let alone one hosting a wedding.Only after we made the remaining payment immediately did they turn the lights back on and start the arrangements. Treating guests ’ and especially women ’ in this manner is disgraceful.Even before the function began, the experience was filled with stress, disrespect, and avoidable confrontation.Beautiful property, but absolutely no sense of hospitality or guest respect. Would not recommend The Fort Ramgarh to anyone planning a wedding or large event. Their behaviour is unprofessional, intimidating, and completely opposite of what a hospitality business should stand for.

Air conditioner not working in the room and person responded after more than 1 hour after complaining. Shifted to another room which was okay. Very poor arrangement in the breakfast hall. Breakfast served cannot be called a buffet breakfast. The hall where breakfast was served was very hot with ineffective airconditioner.
