The Pelican Hotel

My wife and I decided to stay at The Pelican again due to its closeness to the Milan Clinic, but the experience was spoiled by inflexible management and unfair extra fees. We reserved a room online that came with free breakfast. We paid an additional ₹800 for an early check-in at 7:00 AM and checked out that same evening. Even though we only had one breakfast during our one-day stay, the front desk billed us over ₹600 for it at checkout. The receptionist was very rude and unhelpful, insisting the free breakfast was only valid for the following morning, even though we wouldn't be there then. Charging extra for a service clearly included in our one-day booking is totally unfair. We won't be coming back.

Room service was very bad, and the rooms were dirty and not hygienic.

I booked Hotel Pelican through MakeMyTrip based on the photos shown on their platform. However, upon arrival, the property was completely different from what was advertised. The hotel had recently undergone renovation, and there was a strong paint and polish smell throughout the premises.This created a serious issue for my family, as some members are allergic to such smells. I immediately requested the hotel reception to cancel the booking, but they informed me that cancellation could only be processed through MakeMyTrip.I raised a complaint with MakeMyTrip for a refund, but the issue is still unresolved. It is very disappointing that inaccurate property representation and lack of timely support have caused such inconvenience.Overall, a very poor experience with both Hotel Pelican and MakeMyTrip. I would advise others to be cautious before booking.

In short this hotel doesn’t look like how its in image, very dirty whoever is allergic please don’t. On visiting before checking in i found its work going on and paint smell. So on the spot i cancel hotel booking on make my trip speaking with hotel manager of same hotel. But now when i raise this issue make my trip not agrees to refund nor hotel?? Very worse experience with both side of make my trip as well as this hotel.
