1. The Hosteller is a chain of backpacker hostels and is well-suited for young backpacking travellers. In line with our brand positioning and community-living model, we do not recommend families and do not permit guests below the age of 18 years. Admission of minors, including infants and children under 18 years of age, is not allowed even when accompanied by legal guardians.2. The Hosteller also believes and promotes lean hospitality, essentially meaning that we are believers of self-service, no porter/valet/etc, and are a no frills hospitality company. This is ingrained in our operating model in order to provide excellent services to our guests while keeping the accommodation costs as affordable as possible. We have also adopted a pay-as-you-go model for certain amenities such as locks, toiletries and towels on a chargeable, pay-as-you-use basis, which is communicated transparently to guests.3. Consumption of drugs is strictly prohibited at our hostels. In case anyone is found indulging in such activities, anywhere inside the hostel premises, we shall be liable to take strict actions ultimately leading to asking you to vacate the premises immediately and permanently blacklisted. The guest shall also be deemed unfit to continue any further at any of our hostels in case of non-adherence of general policies, misbehavior (physical/mental/verbal or in any kind) with other guests or hostel management, theft, vandalism, trespassing, non-payment/delay in payment of dues, other guest inconveniences or any such unwarranted actions. In all such cases, the guest shall be asked to vacate the premises immediately without any refunds. 4. Outside food is strictly prohibited inside the hostel.5. Alcohol is permitted only in designated common areas and inside private rooms. It is strictly prohibited inside dorm rooms.6. Due to our remote location and intermittent power outages, Wi-Fi may be unavailable during your stay.

The Hosteller Coorg Rainforest is 105 km from Kannur international airport and 115 km from Mysore Junction. From either, take a taxi or bus to Madikeri, then a short drive through lush forests to the hostel. 19. In case you are arriving earlier than the check-in time, you can hang out in the common area/cafe until the check-in time. However, in case you are arriving as early as 7 AM, it is highly recommended to book a dormitory bed or a private room for the previous night as well. 20. Guests with local IDs are allowed. 21. 7. The Hosteller Coorg Rainforest, Madikeri is pet friendly. We permit pets only for private room guests and not dorm bookers. Pets are strictly not allowed in the dorms. Any damages, in case, incurred during the stay shall be attributable to the pet owners.8. The Hosteller Myngl Cafe serves vegetarian options. To maintain the backpacking culture and community spirit we promote self service in all our cafes. Cafe timing: 8 AM - 2 PM & 6 PM - 11 PM. Cafe timings may vary. Please refer to the Glu app for more details.9. Smoking is strictly permitted only in the dedicated smoking zones within the premises.10. In case anyone is traveling in a group of 2+ more people, we do not guarantee the accommodation arrangement for all the guests in the same dorm room. Allocation of rooms happens in an automated manner subject to availability at the time, varied floor arrangements, etc. Right to admission is reserved.11. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and at the discretion of the management and may attract additional charges.12. In case the guest wants to meet the visitor, they can do so in our waiting area or common spaces. Note, visitors are not allowed inside any of the rooms, at any time. Visitor timings: : 9 AM to 9 PM. 13. 100% prepayment is mandatory at our hostels on or prior to check-in to ensure guaranteed booking.14. Only female guests are permitted to check into the female dorm. If a male guest books this room type, check-in will be denied as per policy. No refund will be issued if the booking falls outside the cancellation policy period. 15. Specific policies may apply to different hostels under the brand at specific times of the year and the same shall be communicated at the time of check-in.16. The Hosteller shall not be held responsible for guest’s loss of personal belongings and it shall be the responsibility of the guests to keep their valuables safe and secure.
Add your GSTIN via the Hosteller web app Profile → GST Details before or during your stay to receive a GST invoice on checkout (applicable to dorm and private room bookings only). Blacklisted guests will not be allowed to check in or stay at the hostels, even if they arrive as part of a group. No refund will be provided in such cases. Guests must verify their Aadhaar via DigiLocker. Those without a DigiLocker account must create one to complete verification. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and will incur additional charges.
Possession, consumption, or distribution of illegal drugs and narcotic substances is strictly prohibited across all properties. Alcohol consumption is permitted only in designated common areas and private rooms, while smoking is allowed only in designated smoking areas within the premises. Violation of any of the above policies may attract a penalty of ₹2,000 per incident, and repeated violations, misconduct, or non-compliance may result in immediate termination of stay without any refund.
Wi-Fi connectivity at this property may be unreliable due to its remote location and weather conditions. Guests may experience intermittent internet fluctuations or temporary downtime, especially during heavy rains and power outages
