This hostel almost ruined our stay in Kasol, we stayed outside most of the time. The staff mocked our choice of a standard room and gave us a very very basic claustrophobic room with a creamy old table fan. The room did not do justice to its cost at all, not only size but old musty dirty and very unhygienic. Even the bedsheet was punctured at places and the cover of the blanket was used and smelly. The room itself was such that we had to roam outside at odd hours to escape that room. The toilet was such that it was incredibly slippery and water accumulated everywhere with the slightest of use. Drains were completely clogged. And it reeked of a dirty smell. And on top of everything while we were there, without even informing us, they started working in the corridor right outside our room with loud banging and horrible sounds ( photo attached) herewith. The lift did not work and so to even have basic tea or coffee one has to climb to the rooftop which is akin to 5th floor the stairs were high, slippery with broken siderails on the 4th floor. It can easily have accidents and very fatal lifetaking accidents. In a nutshell it was one of the very worst experience of my life and I am never staying or recommending any hostellier property anywhere ever.
