Very Disappointing Experience – Poor Service, Management & Serious Safety ConcernsOur overall experience at this property was extremely disappointing and certainly not at the standard expected considering the rates being charged.Customer service was one of the biggest disappointments. The restaurant and bar staff were not courteous or attentive. At the bar, staff expected us to move our own glasses and drinks while they changed the table. In the restaurant, our table was left uncleared, and even after we brought it to their attention, the staff appeared reluctant to clean it. These may sound like small things individually, but they reflect the overall lack of hospitality we experienced during our stay.Regarding the beach, this is obviously a matter of personal preference, and some guests may enjoy it. For us, however, the accessible stretch of beach was quite small and limited. We did not feel comfortable or safe going into the water because of the limited stretch. In our experience, it is better suited for sitting on the shore, relaxing and enjoying the view of the sea rather than actually entering the water.Our most serious concern was safety around the swimming pool. During maintenance, the swimming pool was left completely dry/empty without proper barricading or adequate safety precautions. An empty pool creates a significant fall hazard, particularly for young children. At a property catering to families, leaving a dry swimming pool inadequately secured is a serious safety issue and, in our view, shows a concerning lack of safety awareness.We were also very disappointed with the way the duty manager handled our booking. We had booked two rooms under the same booking for our family of two adults and children, yet the duty manager asked us to pay an additional amount for one of our children. Instead of first properly checking the booking details and resolving the matter professionally, we were put in the uncomfortable position of being asked for an additional payment. This was unnecessary and particularly disappointing from someone in a managerial position.Overall, while the property has a pleasant seaside setting and some guests may enjoy the beach and surroundings, our experience was overshadowed by poor customer service, inadequate cleanliness, questionable safety practices and disappointing guest handling by the management.When a property charges rates comparable to a good 4- or 5-star hotel, guests naturally expect a corresponding level of hospitality, safety, cleanliness and professionalism. Unfortunately, our experience fell far below those expectations.Based on our experience, I would not recommend this property to families with young children unless there are significant improvements in safety standards, staff training, cleanliness and overall guest management.
Had an amazing stay at Udhay Samudra Resort! ✨The entire experience was absolutely wonderful — from the beautiful ambience and well-maintained property to the hospitality and service. The rooms were comfortable, the surroundings were peaceful, and the overall vibe was perfect for a relaxing getaway.What I loved the most was how warm and welcoming the staff were throughout our stay. Everything was well taken care of, making the whole experience truly memorable.Definitely one of the best resort experiences I’ve had. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious getaway! ❤️✨
