I recently stayed at Townhouse Trivandrum Padmanabhaswamy Temple, and overall, it was a good experience. The hotel has several advantages, especially its location, cleanliness, and polite staff, but there are a few areas that need improvement.Pros:- Location: The hotel is within walking distance of Padmanabhaswamy Temple, making it convenient for visitors.- Cleanliness: The building appears new, and the room, bathroom, floors, and bedsheets were all neat and clean.- Amenities: There is ample parking space, a lift, and CCTV surveillance. The AC in both the lobby and the room worked perfectly. The room also had a small table, a chair, a lockable shelf, and a bedside table. The lighting was good, and the door felt sturdy and secure.- Staff: The staff were very polite, friendly, and helpful. I had no complaints about their behaviour.- Breakfast: Breakfast was included in my booking. On the first day, I was served poori bhaji and tea, while the second day's breakfast was idli sambar and tea.- Check-in and Check-out: Both timings are set at 11:00 AM, which I found convenient.Cons:- Difficult to Locate: The hotel is situated on an inner road, so finding it for the first time can be a little confusing.- Late Breakfast: Breakfast is served only after 9:30 AM, which is inconvenient for guests who want to start their day early, especially those visiting the temple.- No Wi-Fi in Rooms: Although Wi-Fi is advertised, internet access was not available in our room. According to the staff, Wi-Fi is available only on the ground floor. The room has a Smart TV, but there is no cable or DTH connection. Without room Wi-Fi, using the TV requires a personal mobile hotspot, which consumes mobile data. This was one of the biggest drawbacks of the stay.- Delayed Service: The TV remote was missing when we entered the room and was provided only after we requested it.Conclusion:Overall, Townhouse Trivandrum Padmanabhaswamy Temple is a good option for those looking for a clean, comfortable, and secure stay near the temple. The polite staff, convenient location, and well-maintained rooms are definite advantages. However, providing Wi-Fi in the rooms, serving breakfast earlier, and checking that all room amenities are available before check-in would significantly improve the guest experience. Despite these drawbacks, I had a pleasant stay.
