I had an extremely terrible experience at Utsav Apartments, Guruvayur, and I would not recommend this place, especially to anyone travelling with elderly family members.I booked the apartment for the entire day and paid 2,770 for the stay. We were travelling by bus and were originally expected to arrive around 3:00 AM, but unfortunately the bus was delayed and we reached around 5:00 AM. I was completely prepared to check out at the normal checkout time.I was travelling with my elderly mother, who has had a knee replacement. After paying the required deposit, we were shown our room. Unfortunately, the room was extremely dusty. The lamps, table, drawers and other areas had visible dust, giving the impression that the room had not been properly cleaned for a long time. We had travelled a long way, so we somehow managed, freshened up and went to the temple. We didn’t even stay for breakfast.We were told that the normal checkout time was 12 noon, but because we had arrived late that morning, the staff told us that we could stay until 1:00 PM. Based on this, I booked a taxi for 1:00 PM.Unfortunately, the taxi was delayed by around 30 minutes. The reception then called me insisting that checkout was at 12 noon. I calmly explained that we had been told in the morning that we could stay until 1:00 PM and asked if we could have just another 20 minutes because of the taxi delay and because I was travelling with my elderly mother.Instead of showing even basic consideration, the staff were extremely rude and raised their voices at us, repeatedly telling us that checkout time was over and that we should leave. I did not want to create an argument, so we checked out and waited at the reception for our taxi. Even while we were waiting, the staff turned off the fan, which felt extremely disrespectful and unnecessary.For 2,770, I expected at least a clean room and basic courtesy and hospitality. Unfortunately, we received neither.The condition of the room was disappointing, but the behaviour of the staff was what made this experience particularly unpleasant.I would strongly advise travellers, especially those travelling with elderly parents or anyone with mobility issues, to think twice before choosing this property. We travelled a long way to Guruvayur and were treated in a way that left us extremely disappointed.

The room was clean , not too spacious, complemented by free shuttle service to Guruvayur temple and breakfast. But, no television at the room was the major drawback I found. The staff were attentive and helpful.

The stay is ok but we have some concerns1. We requested for a late checkout of around an hour but the hotel staff not allowed and strictly told to vecate at 12noon. Looks not customer feiendly.2. Received an invoice with GST amount. But there is no gst number available in the invoice. As per my knowledge, all gst bill should contain the gst number.3. Drop to the temple facility not provided.
