VRR Astoria Hotel & Convention Centre

Dear Hotel Management,I am writing to formally complain about an unpleasant and concerning incident that occurred during my stay at VRR Astoria Hotel & Convention Centre.I had booked and paid for a hotel room and was staying at the property with my family. During our stay, we went to the football court and were playing on one side of the court. While we were playing, some children associated with the villa/residential occupants came onto the football court and stated that they would be playing across both sides of the court.We were told words to the effect of, “We will play on both sides. If you get hurt, that is not our responsibility.” Subsequently, the ball was repeatedly kicked in a manner that appeared unsafe and was directed towards people who were already playing. There were also small children present in the area, making such behaviour particularly concerning from a safety perspective.I therefore asked the boy why he was kicking the ball so hard and explained that someone could get hurt. In response, he threatened me by saying, in substance, that if I did not leave, he would hit me.I told him that such a threat was unacceptable and that I would record what he was saying and show it to his parents. I did not want the situation to escalate further, particularly because children were present.The situation became even more upsetting when the parents of the children made comments to us to the effect that the hotel was giving rooms at “cheap” prices and therefore “all cheap people” were booking and coming to the hotel. The ammonites are only for villa residenc and not for hotel people, it is their ground and if we don't leave will call police. They even spoke bad about our profession. We taken ball from the club house, where they came to us directly and fought for the ball claiming it's their ball. We returned it and got our own ball. Still they made us feel very unsafe and asking us to leave the hotel, because we booked for 2 days and that is their own house. Going further saying we will come to your school and fight is that fine for you, your son also grow like a bad person what you will do, so on. I found these comments extremely disrespectful and insulting, particularly as we were legitimate paying guests who had booked our accommodation through the hotel.What concerns me most is that we were paying hotel guests and were using a recreational facility within the property. Instead of receiving assistance or clarification from the management regarding the rules, we were confronted and made to feel that we did not belong at the property because we had booked a room at the available rate.I request that the management please clarify the following in writing:Whether paying hotel guests are permitted to use the football court.Whether the football court is exclusively reserved for villa residents at any particular time, including weekends.If such a restriction exists, why it was not clearly communicated to us when we checked into the hotel.Whether villa residents have any priority or exclusive rights over the football court.What steps the hotel takes to ensure the safety of hotel guests and children using the recreational facilities.What action the management intends to take regarding a hotel guest being threatened with physical harm.Whether hotel management considers it acceptable for villa residents or their guests to make derogatory comments about paying hotel guests based on the price at which they booked their rooms.I also request that the hotel immediately preserve and review the CCTV footage covering the football court and surrounding area for the relevant date and time, as this footage may objectively establish what occurred.I want to make it clear that I am not looking to create unnecessary conflict with the villa residents or their children. My concern is the safety, dignity and equal treatment of paying hotel guests and my family. If there are separate rules governing hotel guests and villa

Great hotel to stay in a silent neighbourhood. Food is good with many different forms of foods to choose from.

Loved the swimming pool. Very clean and hygienic. Shower facility also well equipped with hot water.Payable through UPI and hourly access is available for non members.

The room was good and comfortable. The service! OMG! TERRIBLE! SO MUCH DISAPPOINTED!1st in the reception he gave us the key n didn't even tell where to go!2nd after finding the room we were so hungry thought to order food but unfortunately the qr code for the menu was expired,thinking we could directly ask the reception about the menu or order we tried calling them guess what there landline was also not working, in depression tried to turn on tv, again not working okay atleast ac ya it was working.3rd They fixed the tv after going back down to the reception for communication rest was the same. No proper communication was the main issue. Then we tried roaming in the resort hoping to enjoy the sports guess what all of the them except swimming was closed saying construction is going on and we don't provide the service! Okay we tried going to the twilight restaurant that aswell was closed. Okay restaurant only few things were available to eat! Fine understandable... But dinner we went there asked them to please clean the dust on the chair that we had to sit for that his reply was it's dust sir no use of cleaning! So we had to go out to have our dinner.The next morning we went for breakfast guess what nothing in the menu was available only dosa and puri was the option! Sorry and eggs too.So other than that it was fine just paid for staying that's it! No service
