Good resort, but lacks indoor games. Location is good. Breakfast is decent.
This was my first trip to Matheran with a toddler, and I was initially unsure about the location and the resort. But after staying for three days, my opinion about the resort improved significantly. The location is excellent, very close to the market and the station, which is great if you prefer not to walk much. The environment is peaceful and calm, not crowded at all, despite being in the main market area, and there was no noise. The staff, especially Minal and Ramakant (if I got the names right), were very helpful. Minal took special care since she knew I was traveling with a toddler and even upgraded our rooms, for which I am grateful. The food was amazing; I never expected vegetarian dishes to be so tasty and creative. Their baked rasgulla with ice cream and the thali on the second day were highlights for us. The restaurant staff were incredibly supportive; I brought homemade cerelac for my toddler, which needed to be mixed with warm water. I was unsure how to do this with the kettle without lumps, but the staff kindly helped me prepare it. Regarding electricity, as expected in a hill station, there were power fluctuations during the rain, common in Matheran, but the generator was a great backup, and I don't know if other hotels have this. It did not affect our stay. The rooms were spacious, clean, and tidy, with Jaguar bathroom fittings and clean bathrooms. We didn't get to use the pool and other facilities this time, but maybe next time. Overall, my stay at Adamo was perfect, and if I visit Matheran again, I will definitely choose Adamo.
