Amara Hotel Chandigarh

The air conditioning does not work well.

With extremely poor management & pathetic operation staff, everything can go wrong in any property. That’s what happens with AMARA HOTEL, Chandighar.Though located in a decent place, with extremely poor maintenance & don’t care attitude of the manager Pramod, you will spoil your days when you stay here. In 12 hours, we changed 3 rooms. In general, the rooms are pathetic;- Stinking carpets- Used & dirty bedsheets (very uncomfortable feeling)- Gutter stink in the bathroom. You vomit once you step inside- The washbasin water stagnate- Worst is the AC did not work the tonight we arrived. We changed the room at 11:30 and then again next day morning.- The buffet breakfast was very very minimum and did not have any variety.- Finally, they allow the guests to smoke in the room. The 3rd room that we shifted was stinking of cigarettes and we had to use air freshener all the time to remove this stink.I had to keep asking for improving the service. This hotel is not with Rs 1500/- per night. I will not recommend this hotel at all. Do not waste your money.

AMARA HOTEL in Chandigarh suffers from very poor management and unprofessional staff, leading to a terrible experience. Despite being in a decent location, the hotel is badly maintained and the manager Pramod shows a complete lack of concern, ruining your stay. Within 12 hours, we had to switch rooms three times. The rooms are generally awful, with foul-smelling carpets, dirty and used bedsheets that are very uncomfortable, a bathroom that reeks of sewer, and stagnant water in the washbasin. The AC was broken the night we arrived, forcing us to change rooms late at night and again the next morning. The buffet breakfast was extremely limited with almost no variety. Additionally, guests are allowed to smoke in rooms, and the third room we moved to reeked of cigarette smoke, requiring constant use of air freshener. I had to repeatedly ask for better service. This hotel is not worth Rs 1500 per night, and I strongly advise against staying here to avoid wasting your money.

This was my second stay at this hotel, but even though I booked for two days, the service remained as terrible as before. During check-in, a staff member named Pramod Azad was rude and disrespectful, and his tone was always argumentative. Room service is awful; you have to call multiple times to place an order. They never prepare food according to my instructions, cooking it their own way, which could affect your health, and the prices are higher compared to other hotels. The shower's hot water was frustratingly cold, and the wash basin lacked a filter with an open pipe that smelled like sewage, making it nauseating to use in the morning. The shower shampoo dispenser was broken as well. Overall, a hotel charging 1000 is better than these rooms costing 3000 to 4000.
