As soon as you step into the property, you feel Kashi in its true essence. Complete tranquility amid the surrounding chaos. Stunning sunrise views. The only downside is the location, which is a bit difficult to access, but the hotel staff is very helpful.

We stayed here last week for a temple visit, and sadly, the hotel did not meet expectations considering the high rate of around ₹25,000 per night. Although the view of the Ganges is stunning, major issues with upkeep, accessibility, and cost overshadowed it. 🚨 IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR SENIOR CITIZENS. This hotel is definitely not suitable for senior citizens. It promotes private boat access, but due to river conditions, this service was halted. We had to navigate 3 to 4 narrow, dirty alleys and climb several flights of stairs to reach the hotel. Even when the boat runs, guests must still climb steep steps from the ghat. Our promised boat ride was cancelled because of the river, yet the hotel did not offer any discount or compensation. 🌧️ SERIOUS ROOM & WATER LEAK PROBLEMS. The room was small for the price. Worse, on a rainy night, rainwater flooded nearly half the floor. Our suitcases got wet, and mats and bed runner were damp. After complaining, staff cleaned it and taped plastic outside the window, showing this is a known issue the hotel should have handled beforehand. They even gave towels to block the windows, raising hygiene concerns for future guests. 💰 OVERPRICED FOOD & FORCED TIPPING The hotel serves only vegetarian food, which we liked, but prices were very high. Simple meals for 3 people cost nearly ₹7,000 in one day. Also, the hotel has a centralized tipping system that feels too high and compulsory. ⚠️ OTHER MAINTENANCE ISSUES: No hand shower in the bathroom. No proper floor mat outside the bathroom to dry wet feet. Facilities do not justify the luxury price. VERDICT: The staff were polite and helpful; my complaints are about the hotel's infrastructure, misleading accessibility, and poor maintenance. A beautiful Ganges view does not make up for basic discomfort and safety concerns at this cost. If traveling with elderly family, reconsider booking here.

Pleasant stay and great atmosphere!

The location is perfect for those wanting to be close to the Ganges and central Varanasi. Unfortunately, our stay was quite disappointing overall. The staff and management ignored our main concern about noise. The haveli's design makes sounds louder, and loud music plays late at night and again from 6 a.m. When we requested it to stop, we were told other guests preferred it and their wishes took priority since they were more in number. The rooms are basic, and the breakfast and meals are simple and lack sophistication. The yoga session is a good idea but only runs from 6 to 7 a.m., and during monsoon season it is often cancelled because it happens on an uncovered rooftop. I wouldn’t suggest this hotel if you want to both enjoy Varanasi and get rest. For first-timers, even if young, it’s better to stay a bit farther away, especially in monsoon when rising water makes things less pleasant. The management’s response was poor: after our noise complaint, they only offered a 15% discount on laundry. There are many staff but little efficiency, which sadly is common in many Indian hotels.
