Bed was very bad...room is too small....the balcony is common.... like a passage....not worth it.... connectivity poor....no room service......have to walk 500 m to get to the property...no parking.... don't stay here if you are in Varanasi

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel as a couple. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, with a relaxing atmosphere that made our trip even more enjoyable. The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional throughout our stay.The location was convenient, and the hotel offered a peaceful and private environment, making it a great choice for couples.

We stayed at Captain Villa for four nights, paying about ₹8,300. We really liked our stay, mainly due to the great hospitality and the convenient location. The building is around 200 years old and has a charming heritage vibe. Some painting and renovation were happening while we were there, and there were very few guests. The rooms are quite small but enough for us since we spent most of our time exploring Banaras. The terrace offers a lovely view of the Ganga. The best part of our stay was definitely the service. Saurabh, the manager, personally welcomed us at the entrance and guided us through the lanes to the property. He was very friendly and gave helpful tips about places to visit, local prices, bargaining with autos/vendors, and getting around Banaras. He even took us to a sari factory, which was closed, but arranged a visit to a sari shop where we bought some beautiful Banarasi saris. Aman was also very kind, polite, and helpful. He always helped with our luggage and assisted us in arranging an auto to the railway station when we left. Karan and the rest of the staff were equally nice. Anything we needed—water, food from their restaurant, or famous food from nearby places—was arranged and delivered to us. Their service was excellent. The property is located inside the narrow lanes of old Banaras, but the location was very convenient. Kedar Ghat and Shri Gauri Kedareshwar Mahadev Mandir are just a minute or two away. You can do darshan and then walk down to the Ganga, sit peacefully by the river, or use the steps leading to it. Chintamani Ganpati is also nearby. Dashashwamedh Ghat is about a 700-meter walk through the lanes, making it easy to attend the evening Ganga Aarti and explore the temples and old city area. We also enjoyed exploring Banaras through its food! We ordered from Nathu’s and Shri Annapurna and had breakfast at Shri Madhur Jalpan. We tried Kashi Chaat Bhandar but it didn’t meet our expectations—2/5. However, Hira Chaat Bhandar near Kedar Ghat was fantastic—5/5 for us. Overall, the rooms are small and renovation was ongoing during our visit, but the heritage atmosphere, proximity to the Ganga and temples, and especially the hospitality made our stay memorable. Many thanks to Saurabh, Aman, Karan, and the whole team for making us feel so welcome and taking such good care of us.

If you want to feel the real vibes of Banaras streets adjoining Ghats, this offers you best facilities and comfort, but be prepared to carry your luggage of your own for 400 meters, where no car, cab or even autorickshaw has access. Dealing of Mr Anshu Gupta of the staff is outstanding and professional.

The location of hotel is great, very near to Kedar ghat however, avoid booking this one if you need 4 wheeler parking. The staff is great and welcoming, rooms are good.
