Arcot Woodlands Hotel

The hotel was the worst experience and not worth the price. The rooms and toilets were dirty. We booked a deluxe room, but it did not meet expectations. The food was among the worst in Cuddalore, with bugs visible in it. I will attach a picture for reference.

There are many unexpected discomforts..The rooms on the road side are not designed to limit the outside Noises as its done with low cost and normal cladded window glasses.Many of the people complained about musquito, some said first day they have not provided the All-out / Mosquito killer.So I felt no deep sleep for 2 weeks stay i was there. but it will be ok if you stay for 1 day and not bothered about what you pay equal to the 3 star hotel stay price.The Wifi signals are having poor coverage inside and the connected wifi speed is not picking up at outside. even some 2-3 guests asked for the same thing, but the receptionists were very casual and finally I was given up in followups and stopped internet usage when my mobile network is also down . seems even for months, none of their staffs are checking whether its working or not.*after revising review after 1 year also, I heard the same about the mosquitos, room service and wifi...Their sprinkler water is dripping (few drops but its noticable) for at least a year on guests, when you walk on the main room outside passages.Not all the staffs are trained, no proper information about where the morning breakfast is provided (which later i found in other restaurant in the next building same campus, the restaurant's food is also not very good, room ambience was good)overall feel like their staffs are very casual and not dealt with the complaints.Now the positives: Cleanliness, Parking. so you only 1 option stay for 1 night or go pondy. May be better if you have choosen it just for 1 day.

Many guests complained about mosquitoes; some mentioned that on the first day, mosquito repellents like All-out were not provided. I struggled to get a good night's sleep during my two-week stay. It might be acceptable if you stay just one night and don't mind paying a price similar to a 3-star hotel. The WiFi signal is weak inside, and the speed outside is poor. A few guests raised this issue, but the receptionists were indifferent. Eventually, I gave up following up and stopped using the internet, especially when my mobile network was also down. It seems no staff have checked the WiFi functionality for months. Even after reviewing this a year later, I heard the same complaints about mosquitoes, room service, and WiFi. The sprinkler system drips a few drops of water on the main outside passages near guest rooms, which has been happening for at least a year. Not all staff are well-trained, and there was no clear information about where breakfast is served; I later found it was in another restaurant in the next building on the same campus. The restaurant's food was not very good, though the room ambiance was pleasant. Overall, the staff seem very casual and do not handle complaints properly. On the positive side, cleanliness and parking are good. So, your only option is to stay for one night or go to Pondy. It might be better if you choose this hotel just for a single day.
