Hotel Mount Manor - Close to Chennai Airport

We stayed at Hotel Mount Manaur on September 4, 2026. In the evening, we asked the waiter to bring ice cubes, soda, and glass tumblers. The waiter informed us that neither ice cubes nor soda were available, and that glasses for drinks were not provided either. We were quite disappointed with the service; the assistance and amenities did not meet expectations. The staff's attitude, particularly when we needed help, was unsatisfactory. We request the management to pay special attention to customer service and staff sensitivity.’’’?

My recent visit was a total disappointment. ’? The rooms were lackluster and seemed quite dated, hardly justifying the exorbitant cost. The staff displayed unhelpful and rude conduct, even making a scene about a complimentary water bottle. ’? Its location offered no redeeming qualities. I absolutely cannot recommend this place. ’? Steer clear at all costs! ’?

very accomodating, we had no issues during our stay there.location was great, right next to the metro and airport. Do note it can get noisy with the planes flying low for the airport every 5-10 minutes.Room was clean and had all the required amenities, towels were had some stains on it however.Complimentary breakfast was well made, but recommend coming a little later around 8:30am to get a better variety.We had left a few valuables in the room and they kindly followed up with us to get it back to us.

I had a very unpleasant experience at this hotel. When I requested a bottle of water at around 10:00 PM, the manager responded rudely, saying, ’We will not provide it; get it from wherever you can.’Such arrogant and disrespectful behaviour towards a guest is completely unacceptable. Unfortunately, my son also experienced a similar incident at this hotel two months ago. I do not know whether the management is aware of how its staff members behave with guests. Even the watchman’s behaviour was aggressive and intimidating.Despite its convenient location near the airport, I would not recommend staying at this hotel. The management must take immediate corrective action and properly train its staff in basic courtesy and hospitality.

Convenient location. Strategically located at an almost equidistant point from places like T. Nagar, Purasawalkam, Kilpauk garden, Tambaram or even Ambattur. Beds are good and bathrooms are kept clean. Food is good; prices are reasonable. Staffed with North East Indians in restaurant and housekeeping areas. Air-conditioners and mini fridges are in good working condition. One short-coming is that we cannot pull aside the large curtains that open to French windows. That’s because the building is constructed that way. Overall a pleasant experience for a busy trip involving lots of Uber/ Ola trips crisscrossing Chennai, even though I felt that the rent can be a bit lower.
