The rooms were comfortable, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious with a good variety of options. The staff were friendly and helpful, making our stay pleasant and memorable. Overall, a great experience. Highly recommended!

I stayed at Shilton Dee Cee, Chennai, from 6 to 9 October 2026 (3 nights), and unfortunately, I had a very bad experience. I am repeated customer for this hotel. I had booked and paid for two Deluxe Rooms in advance. We arrived quite late, at around 11:45 PM, expecting our reserved rooms to be ready for check-in. However, the front desk staff initially assigned us one Deluxe Room and one Single Room, which I had never booked.When I questioned him about why I was being given a Single Room instead of the Deluxe Room I had reserved and paid for, he simply replied that all the rooms were occupied. I asked him where my reserved room had gone and who had been given the room I had booked, but he was unable to provide an answer. Instead, he asked me to wait for another 10 minutes before finally arranging a second Deluxe Room.Unfortunately, the experience got even worse when we entered the rooms. The bedsheets had not been changed, and the floor was extremely dirty. Despite the staff claiming that the room had been cleaned and was fresh, the actual condition of the room clearly showed otherwise.It was already around 12:45 AM, yet I was still waiting for the room to be properly cleaned after a long day of travelling. I have attached photographs as evidence, including one showing the floor-cleaning cloth after I wiped the floor myself. The level of dirt was shocking and completely unacceptable for a hotel room.The managers came and repeatedly apologised, but unfortunately, their apologies were not accompanied by any meaningful action to address the situation. I was also informed that there was no housekeeping staff available during the evening shift, which raises serious concerns about the hotel's ability to manage late-night check-ins and maintain proper cleanliness standards.Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience. After booking and paying in advance, I expected the rooms to be properly reserved, ready for check-in, and clean upon arrival. Instead, I had to deal with room allocation issues and unacceptable hygiene standards in the middle of the night.I genuinely regret choosing this hotel. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Shilton Dee Cee to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, and hassle-free stay in Chennai. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements to its room management, housekeeping, and customer service.
