Hotel Urvashi Residency

Located in best area, close to Pondy bazaar. Cleanliness is not good. Reception staff is not familiar about the hotel rooms. Room service is not good, if requested to attend any faulty, takes half hour to attend or need to remind them. WIFI service poor.

Having stayed at Urvashi before COVID, I came back expecting the same standards I had experienced earlier. Sadly, this visit was very disappointing. The rooms were in poor condition, especially considering the price. Some rooms had faulty air-conditioning, others had leaking faucets, and we found cockroaches in half of the six rooms we booked. The broken air-conditioning caused condensation, making the floors wet and sticky, which was uncomfortable. Although the hotel fixed these issues after we reported them, such problems should have been caught before guests arrived. At this price, proper checks should be standard. The pest problem was worrying; despite spraying insecticide, cockroaches were still seen the next day. Guests shouldn't face this, especially at these rates. Cleanliness was also lacking; rooms, bedsheets, and bathrooms didn't feel properly clean, and some rooms had bad smells. Overall hygiene was far below our expectations. Having stayed at many good hotels in Tamil Nadu, we expected Urvashi to match their standards given similar prices, but it did not. Disappointment is an understatement. I remember Urvashi from before COVID and expected the same quality, but now we are advising others not to stay here until these problems are fixed. I hope management and ownership take this feedback seriously and perform thorough inspections, deep cleaning, pest control, and maintenance before charging premium prices again.

Special thanks to Mr. Prabhu, the Manager, who was very helpful throughout. He clearly understood our needs, stayed in touch at every stage, and ensured everything went perfectly. His advice gave us more confidence and made planning easier. We truly value his commitment and hope he continues to offer such great service. We were worried about the food since we couldn't taste it beforehand, but as Mr. Prabhu assured us, it was fantastic! Our guests loved the taste and quality. The food, service, coordination, and overall management were all excellent, letting us enjoy our day stress-free. Many thanks to Mr. Prabhu and the Urvashi Residency team for making our engagement so special. We appreciate all your hard work. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a great venue with delicious food and excellent service!

The hotel service was very poor and definitely not worth the money.The air conditioning was not functioning properly, and the Wi-Fi network was unavailable during my stay. I informed the staff a couple of times, but all I received was, ’We’ll look into it.’ Unfortunately, nothing was actually done, and the issues remained unresolved throughout my stay.What was even more disappointing was raising the same concerns during check-out, only to receive a simple apology from the manager. An apology is appreciated, but when you pay for a hotel, you expect the basic facilities and services that you have paid for to actually be available.If I had simply said, ’Sorry, I don’t have the money,’ would that have been accepted as well?A very disappointing experience. The service, response to guest concerns, and value for money were all below expectations. Definitely not worth the money.

My stay at this hotel was fantastic. The cuisine was outstanding, featuring a broad range of fresh, tasty, and flavorful meals that suited all preferences. The bar was just as impressive, offering a great variety of local and international spirits, plus wonderful cocktails and beverages. I want to highlight Vijay from the bar, whose friendly demeanor and commitment made a significant impact. He went the extra mile to support his team and ensure our event was a success. His excellent service and collaboration really enhanced the experience. The service across the hotel was excellent—every staff member was polite, attentive, and always ready to assist with a sincere smile. The warm hospitality truly made my visit special. From arrival to departure, I felt genuinely welcomed and appreciated. In summary, my stay surpassed all expectations. I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking great food, a superb drink selection, top-notch service, and heartfelt hospitality. I am eager to return soon!
