Hotel Avenue 11

The location is amazing. It's a residential area. But the property is very old. The room we booked was very small. Didn't even have a window. They have only put a curtain on the wall to show in the photographs.

We had a very pleasant overnight stay at Avenue 11. It's located in a quiet upmarket residential locality and is essentially a house converted into a hotel. We booked the premium room at a discounted rate. The room was clean, clean sheets, clean bathroom and ac worked well. Staff was courteous and very responsive. Had a great night's sleep followed by a nice breakfast before we checked out. Don't expect a five star spread - limited but sufficient options. Only negative was the limited parking space , but can manage by parking in the street.

It is over priced for a small room, photo of the standard room on the agodar portal is misleading. No windows, basic furniture. It is like a servants room with attached bathroom. No lunchnor dinner is offered even at a price. Zomato cant licate the place too. Breakfast is ok. Staff is well mannered and corteous. The early check in was a positive so us its excellent location. Poes garden is a premium locality with superb greenery. Overall it is an avoidable properly.

No value for money at all. Very poorly maintained property for the amount these people charge you. We stayed in this property just for a day and we had booked a room as per our requirement. In the last minute the hotel people inform us saying they don't have any other rooms and gave a room on the ground floor next to the dining area. This place doesn't look as neat and clean as their pics are on the site. Their staff are not enterprises at all...they talk as if they don't wish to invite you at all. Paying so much money you really feel like your staying in a PG.They claim themselves as 3 star property but basic facilities like providing water bottles, and the quality of toiletries were not upto the mark at all. We had to ask for water bottles and they gave us just 1/2 ltr bottles. Their breakfast was also not upto the mark, the dining area is too small and there's no much open space to roam around.This property gives a very negative vibe...you don't feel good when you stay there. The only thing is the property is closer to the celebrity house which is off no use.Please don't waste your money by booking this property. For this amount you might well stay in a 4 or 5 star properties.

We were denied entry at Avenue 11 Residence, Chennai for 3 nights worth ’23,000, after a long journey and a last-minute family getaway. Only my husband was asked for documents, and because my child and I did not have additional documents on us, we were treated very poorly.What was most shocking was the behavior of the front desk staff. There was no empathy, no attempt to help, no alternative offered. We were bluntly told to ’get out of the property’, as if we were doing something wrong. This was late, we were new to the city, had no idea where to go, and were left feeling scared and helpless. No family, especially with a child, should be treated this way.The issue was not just about documentation’it was about attitude, lack of professionalism, and complete absence of basic hospitality and human decency. A simple conversation, guidance, or even respectful communication would have made a huge difference. Instead, we were made to feel unwelcome and humiliated.Thankfully, we managed to find another place to stay the same night, which was beautiful, warm, and truly professional, with guests from many countries’showing us what real hospitality actually looks like.This experience at Avenue 11 Residence was traumatic and deeply disappointing.*I would never recommend this property to anyone, especially families or travelers new to Chennai****Reply to the management***Thank you for your response. However, your clarification is factually incomplete.Identification was not only asked for adults. We were also asked to provide government ID for our child, which is neither a standard practice nor a legal requirement. We are a family living at the same address, and this was clearly explained at the front desk. Even we both provided there was no way we could have given proof for our child at new city!!!Even if your property follows stricter internal rules, the issue here was not the policy alone, but the manner in which it was enforced. The man at the front desk was rude and lack basic etiquette to handle customers.Professional hospitality requires both compliance and humane handling. Unfortunately, the behavior we experienced reflected neither.
