SUN STAYZ INN ( A Boutique Hotel )

I recently stayed at this hotel in Chennai and had a very bad experience. The cleanliness was poor, with dirty towels and a non-functioning water heater. They required checkout by 11 a.m., but since my train was at 3 p.m., I left my luggage with them. Unfortunately, they damaged the luggage handle and responded carelessly when I inquired. This was the worst hotel I've encountered in Chennai. It's especially challenging for families due to a private bar located right in front of the hotel. Overall, it was a very disappointing stay.

I'm sharing this review to caution anyone considering a stay at SUN STAYZ. Let me break down the details. The rooms are a decent size, and the A/C and other appliances function properly—that's about the only positive. First, a warning: if you park your car in their lot, you must hand over your keys to the valet, who will park it somewhere down the road he thinks is safe, though I disagree. They don't inform you beforehand. When you go to your car, it will be gone because the hotel is above a pub that reserves the parking for its patrons. Be very careful. If you plan to go out or need something from your car, you'll have to find it first, and it will only be returned after the pub closes. Second, during our entire stay, there was no water in the bathroom; you had to rely on hotel staff to bring you a bucket of water. Third, after about 8 PM, there is no housekeeping available, leaving you with only one receptionist who may not be very helpful. Fourth, there is no phone in the room to contact reception; you must go down to the ground floor. Fifth, to get water, you have to fill it yourself on the ground floor. Sixth, you must use stairs to reach the ground floor—there is no elevator, and the stairs are numerous. While young people might manage, seniors and children would struggle. Seventh, you have to carry your own luggage up and down. Lastly, there is no kitchen, but the breakfast provided was acceptable.

Extremely poor quality accommodation, cigarettes buds were in the rooms , used and leftovers foods and trashed at the entrance of the room. Leftovers other travellers clothes inside the toilet . Poorly maintained non working shower.
