Rain Drops Hotel

Mosquitoes 🦟 in the room throughout night… Had a very hectic schedule, tiring day n had only 4 hours to sleep. This was messed up with the mosquitoes. Washroom shampoo was not filled, bed was not all that clean. Pls fix these to better the customer experience. Tks!

The room was neat maybe because they are new. Housekeeping is pathetic. They never replace used glasses and cups. They dont replace linen. The toilets are not cleaned well. The restaurant is too dark and is not inviting. The food spread for breakfast is small and the menu is expensive not to mention 20% more for room service. Service in the restaurant for breakfast and refilling "happens"! The food is not bad. Need to get the wifi token everyday. It stands for the government tag!

We the Alumni of St Joseph's Calicut had our reunion at Raindrops. It was a 3 - day meet. The Front Desk team was always ready whenever I called. Our team was in touch with Shreya from the beginning.The Restaurant ( F & B ) was also very approachable. Varun helped us in planning the Menu. The Buffet Lunch on the 10th was extremely good. Shika was there throughout with a smile ever ready to help us.Thank you Raindrops for making our stay a memorable one.

Let's start with the good. The staff is good. Helpful. Sweet.That's where the good ends. The rooms are not clean at all. I checked 3 rooms, all of which had hair on the beds and towels. There was also a used band-aid stuck on the bedframe. That's just gross and dangerous. It risks spreading infections.

Best thing is the location and spacious rooms.The not so good parts are many.The property and rooms are dated, and not kept up with time. Was assigned 505 room which had no locks on windows and openable from both sides. The locking system itself was broken. Upon complaint, a technician came and went without saying a word. After Waiting called the reception and was told they will do the repairs with me in!! Upon protest, they assigned room 509 which was almost similar and had no locks installed on the windows. Then understood none of their windows have locks..Gave up on this as the team itself was also not bothered to check if the customer is convinced or not. The fixtures are almost broken, the doors are damaged, walls with fungus, AC working on and off, pests crawling across the rooms, no ventilation or exhaust in bathroom and what not.The worst part for me for the noise pollution. The rooms have the worst sound insulation simply due to broken windows with gaps which also allow mosquitoes through. The traffic on the road touching the property makes it difficult to sleep with sounds of ambulance, vehicle honking and racing which disturbed Sleep on both nights.Did complain about this to the 2 ladies at the reception on day 1 after check in, however, They were not interested in providing a solution. Kept up with this seeing the non refundable booking.The breakfast is again mediocre at it's best. Lukewarm tea coffee provided upon request by the team cup by cup. No live dosa counter. Just omlette counter.Utterly disappointed with the stay experience.Largely felt like entering a bureaucratic government place.
