Banasura Hill Resort

We spent a night here during our trip, and it became one of the best parts of our vacation. The weather was ideal—cool and pleasant—perfect for appreciating the lovely environment. The entire experience was tranquil. The staff were courteous and accommodating, the room was tidy and cozy, and the food was better than we expected. Overall, the resort had a serene atmosphere. If you're visiting Wayanad and looking for a spot to unwind and connect with nature, this place is definitely worth a visit. We hope to return, hopefully for a longer stay next time!

Our stay at Banasura Hill Resort was wonderful. The resort is stunning, tranquil, and impeccably kept. All the staff were friendly, hospitable, and professional. We especially appreciate Mr. Rajesh for his outstanding hospitality and Mr. Rahul along with the front office team for their helpfulness. The meals were tasty, and the restaurant staff delivered great service. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience. The rustic property offers an average experience that could be improved. The rooms have dim lighting to match the rustic feel, but this makes them appear dull and somewhat gloomy. Hot water availability is problematic. Lack of connectivity and poor wifi make communication challenging. Service is acceptable but could be more attentive, particularly at reception. The food is decent, and the property's location is beautiful. Activities require better upkeep. Baby food is not provided free of charge.

I felt a bit let down, probably because the high ratings on Google Maps and MakeMyTrip had raised my expectations. The location is genuinely stunning, especially with the monsoon enhancing the beauty of the Banasura Hills behind the resort. The staff were welcoming, and I was happy with their service. However, the resort, promoted as an eco-resort, has mud-plastered walls that, while fitting the theme, make the rooms feel rather dark. The amenities are basic, and the room interiors lack any special appeal. Even bathroom slippers were not provided. The pool is quite shallow, with no staff nearby, no towels in the changing area, and limited space if multiple families want to use it simultaneously. The food was good, but lunch was not included in our booking. The lunch buffet was priced at ₹750 per person, which seemed steep for a limited selection. À la carte options were available, but even a simple sambar cost ₹250, and rice had to be ordered and paid for separately. The pottery instructor was absent due to illness, and the bonfire was cancelled because of the monsoon, which was understandable. Overall, it was an average experience. While the location and staff were definite positives, the resort did not fully meet the expectations set by its reviews.

At BANASURA HILL RESORT, the main gate entrance was unresponsive when we tried to enter. After that, the receptionist refused to show us the room and was very demanding. I will not recommend this place, especially since they charge Rs 7000 and claim the tariff is not high. A resort like this should have a standard rate of Rs 2000. The tariff is very expensive. I run hospitality businesses in Kolkata, West Bengal, with many hotels and travel groups.
