Blue Ocean The Fern Resort & Spa Ganpatipule, Series by Marriott

For a property that is associated with a brand like Marriott Bonvoy, this property hit a new level of low. Thoroughly disappointed with the property facilities. Everything that could possibly go wrong, went wrong with this one.We booked two rooms through Agoda. Supposedly a non-refundable booking. 1. The hotel boasts of a fitness center that it doesn't have.2. Rooms in the Winter Green category are situated at the rear end of the property with a view of nothing but jungle / dense forest.3. We were alloted two rooms. One on the ground floor and the other on the second floor. The room on the ground floor was infested with mosquitoes and fruit flies.4. The room on the 2nd floor had everything wrong..... - Chipped table in the balcony - Geyser not working. You need to keep the geyser on for atleast 10 minutes before you go in for a bath and that hot water lasts for a maximum of two minutes. - AC did not cool even after setting it at 17° - Refrigerator not working inspite of the technician replacing the refrigerator unit with a new one - The dining room at Atlantic restaurant was infested with flies. - The restaurant took 45 minutes to prepare two sandwiches and a plate of mix veg pakodas - The pool water was dirty and unclean. - When we enquired about the gym timings, we were told that the gym is not available. This, after boasting of a fitness center on the booking website - At the time of check out, first of all, their printer was unable to print bills. Eventually, after waiting for almost half an hour, I requested they WhatsApp Messenger the bill which was again messed up. First, they swapped the room numbers with wrong occupants and secondly, they sent only one bill inspite of repeatedly calling and asking for the second bill. Eventually they stopped taking my calls and i stopped following up.Staff tried their level best to make the visit comfortable but I guess when the property itself is so damaged, even they are helpless. The Bellboy / Buggy assistant Pramod was really helpful.Food in the restaurant is below average and overpriced. My suggestion, please find a cheaper place outside the hotel premises and eat your fill.Have decided never to visit the hotel again. Thoroughly disappointed.....

It was nice to stay at blue ocean fern resort. We had a very good time with family. My son enjoyed a lot.

The villa category room was good . The resort is covered with lots of trees. It also has kids water park.Good food .The garden near beach is beautiful with lot of coconut trees .It has beautiful seating tents facing sea .Overall great place ,very big resort area,good place to spend time with family.
