BrijRama Palace, Varanasi | By the Ganges

The experience was incredible, from the stunning rooms and the entire property to the warm hospitality, delicious food, and the spa where we enjoyed a foot massage. The numerous boat rides and the evening Ganga Aarti were also wonderful. Every staff member was excellent and very attentive. This is definitely a must-visit in Varanasi.

This hotel is truly beautiful and a fantastic place to stay. Its location is ideal, situated right in the spiritual heart of Varanasi. They offer convenient door-to-door airport transfers. The food served is exceptionally tasty, and the restaurant staff, including Mira, are very friendly. The breakfast ranks among the best hotel breakfasts I've had. This is a spotless and tranquil restored classic hotel featuring exquisite details, with daily traditional music, dance, and prayer performances. Inside, you'll find a serene refuge compared to the lively chaos outside on the ghats. I highly recommend this hotel.

Choosing to stay at this palace (truly a palace) was the best choice we made. I am deeply impressed by their hospitality. Every staff member was sincerely polite and eager to assist proactively. From the airport pickup in a spotless luxury car to the final 15-minute boat ride, it was a fantastic way to arrive at the palace. They were very helpful in guiding us to the places we wanted to visit in Varanasi. I would gladly have this experience again.

My mom and I just came back from our first visit to Varanasi, spending four days at BrijRama Palace, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the smooth airport pickup to our departure, everything was perfectly managed. The palace itself is stunning—a well-preserved 200-year-old building right on the Ganga riverbank. Arriving only by boat added a special charm to the stay. The staff at BrijRama made us feel completely at home. Check-in was quick and easy, and we got to our rooms without any wait. A big thanks to Chef Arif, whom we met at our first lunch. His hospitality was outstanding. Since we follow a strict gluten-free diet and avoid flax and sesame seeds, Chef Arif took great care to prepare meals that were both safe and delicious, making us feel like we were in a home away from home. We enjoyed dining at both Aangan and Darbanga, and the food was excellent! I was a bit anxious traveling alone with my mom, who has limited mobility, but the staff’s attentive care made a big difference. The warmth and kindness she received from everyone was truly touching. BrijRama also organized all our temple visits, and each trip went smoothly. What could have been stressful turned out to be effortless, thanks to BrijRama and their amazing team. I highly recommend this place!

A unique hotel that lets you experience the heart of Varanasi, located right next to Dasaswamedh ghat with an elevator access to the ghat, making the location unbeatable. The rooms are small, which is understandable given the antique nature of the property. Guests are engaged with many cultural activities such as kathak dance, Gita chanting, sitar and flute music, paan, and hand painting. Expect a high noise level in the evenings until about 9:30 pm due to these events. If you prefer to sleep early and need complete silence, this hotel may not suit you. The restaurant and food need improvement as they do not match the price point. Service was excellent, though there was a slight sense of inexperience. Be sure to take their boat to reach the property, as negotiating with luggage through the narrow lanes can be difficult and confusing. Overall, it was an extraordinary experience that we all enjoyed. Special thanks to the chef who made a special cake on our request. We will definitely return.
