DERA PICHOLA- A Lake Facing Boutique Hotel

The rooms are decent, but the view is stunning and breathtaking. The food tastes good and the service is excellent. I really enjoyed the terrace; it's so tranquil with a wonderful view of Lake Pichola. Plus, everything is conveniently close by. I definitely recommend this place.

The location is a bit inside but close to the city palace. The food is good, though the service is quite slow. I reserved two rooms, both given on the ground floor without any prior notice; I might have preferred the first or second floor. One room was spacious, but the other was small and had a bad odor. Overall, it's a decent, clean hotel suitable for a budget stay.

The staff are excellent and welcoming. The rooms are very large, each with a balcony overlooking Lake Pichola, offering a stunning view. The food is fantastic, with both breakfast and dinner served hot and delicious! The location is also ideal, with all Udaipur attractions within walking distance—Bagore Ki Haveli is just 2 minutes away, and the palace is about 10 minutes on foot.

Near Gangaur Ghat, someone approached us claiming there was a limited-time deal where we could receive free gifts or scratch-card gifts just by visiting the hotel and spending some time there. But once we got to the hotel, the situation was totally different. They first gathered a lot of our personal details and then started pushing hotel packages that needed us to pay or invest money. We hadn’t planned to buy anything. We were told about free gifts, but after arriving, we faced a long sales pitch. We also had a pre-booked session at Gangaur Ghat and needed to leave, but they said we had to buy a package first to get the scratch-card gifts. Overall, the initial offer seemed misleading and mainly a tactic to get us inside for a sales presentation. We wasted a lot of time and felt very uncomfortable. I strongly advise caution if someone offers a similar “free gift/limited-time offer” near Gangaur Ghat. Make sure to ask clearly about the conditions and if any purchase is necessary before sharing your personal info or going to the hotel.
