Hotel Aadhi

I wish I could rate this place below zero stars, but unfortunately Google doesn't permit that. The service is terrible, and the receptionists are very rude and lack any kindness. The rooms were filthy, there was no hot water, and the bed sheets were extremely dirty. I strongly advise against booking here.

Great rooms and excellent hospitality. Prices are affordable.

The rooms are poorly maintained. Bed sheets are not changed frequently, and I had to ask for replacements. The air conditioning was broken, and without it, the rooms lack proper ventilation. Room service is inadequate. The intercom was disconnected, with the wire cut.

I would not suggest this hotel. The location is the only positive aspect. Everything else was disappointing. The corridors were unclean. They assigned us three rooms with AC, but none of the AC units worked. Even after complaining, no action was taken. They still charged us for the AC rooms and only refunded Rs 500 after much dispute. The service was lacking. The rooms were okay, but the bathroom commode was in poor condition. Overall, quite a letdown.

My stay at Hotel Aadhi in Mayiladuthurai was very disappointing. I reserved two rooms for two nights (10–12 July 2026) via MakeMyTrip and paid ₹6,790 upfront. We arrived and checked in at 12:47 PM but had to leave by 4:01 PM the same day because the rooms were unsuitable. The main problem was the air conditioners not working. We reported this right after checking in and were repeatedly told they would start within 30 minutes. The hotel owner also promised repairs by night, but nothing was fixed. The rooms stayed very hot, and the ceiling fan barely worked, making it uncomfortable. Another letdown was the restaurant. Before traveling, I called on 8 July to confirm my booking and asked if the restaurant was open; I was told yes. However, upon arrival, we learned it was closed for renovation, even though our booking included meals. The room cleanliness was poor; we found chewing tobacco/paan masala between the bed and sheet and a used cigarette box in a drawer, suggesting the room was not properly cleaned. The corridors and rooms had a strong unpleasant smell that made the environment uncomfortable and even caused nausea. There was frequent movement and activity in the corridors, creating an uneasy atmosphere not suitable for families. We did not feel safe or relaxed. When we asked to check out due to the poor conditions and requested a refund, the owner kept saying, "You booked through an online platform, so get your refund from MakeMyTrip," refusing to take responsibility or help. His tone was intimidating, and he warned us to be careful, implying threats. We decided it was best to leave rather than continue the discussion, so we checked out at 4:01 PM, just hours after checking in, and did not stay the remaining nights.
