The hospitality, food, rooms, and staff are all excellent.

I seldom write negative reviews, but my recent visit to Hotel Omnibliss, Chandigarh left me no alternative. The room was acceptable and I had no issues with it. Sadly, the whole stay was spoiled by one staff member named Anand, whose rude behavior was evident from our first encounter. When I initially entered the hotel to ask about room rates, his first words were, "Helmet utaro." While asking me to remove my helmet was fine, his tone was loud, disrespectful, and unwelcoming. First impressions are important, and mine was very poor. After seeing the room, I chose to book it. During check-in, Anand kept insisting I pay the full amount upfront. Since it was just one night, I paid without argument. I then left for some work, and luckily his shift ended before I returned. The night staff was polite and helpful. Since there was no intercom, I was given a mobile number for room service. I ordered dinner by phone without problems, and everything went well. The next morning, Anand was back. I called the same number to order breakfast, expecting no issues. Instead of taking a simple order over the phone, he refused and said a waiter would come to my room to take it. This was unnecessary, especially as I was already late. The worst was at checkout. I told him I needed to quickly drop my wife at the airport and asked him to prepare my bill while I got ready. Since I checked in late (around 2:30 PM the day before), I politely asked for a few extra minutes past the 11 AM checkout due to a genuine reason. He said, "We can extend till 12 PM, but at 12:01 you'll have to pay for a half day." Rules are understandable, but hospitality is about how rules are communicated and applied. The hotel was nearly empty, there was no rush, and ours was the only occupied room. A bit of understanding would have helped. Instead, the attitude was rigid, arrogant, and lacked basic human empathy. To avoid extra charges, I had to leave the room immediately, carry all my luggage downstairs, and leave everything in the lobby before taking my wife to the airport. When I returned, it was about 12:05 PM. The room would have stayed empty anyway, yet I was treated as if trying to take advantage of the hotel. One rude encounter can be forgiven. But from the moment I arrived until I left, Anand showed consistently poor behavior, no customer service skills, and an attitude unfit for hospitality. It's a shame because the room was fine and the night staff was courteous. But one employee was enough to ruin the entire stay. I strongly suggest considering other hotels within 500 meters instead. They might offer similar or better rooms, hopefully with staff who understand that hospitality starts with respecting guests. I will definitely not stay at Hotel Omnibliss again, nor recommend it to anyone.

The stay was pleasant and very secure for women traveling alone. The staff were courteous, the rooms were tidy, and the food was delicious. The staff were also highly professional and attentive.
