I booked a week in advance but when i reached the hotel on the day for check-in there was a problem. They couldn’t give room as maintaince was going on and instead asked to move to another hotel (same company nearby). I had to pay a different rate than the one I booked. I had to pay the standard rate for the night which was more than what it was listed on online on previous days.
Very Disappointing ExperienceI have booked rooms through Agoda more than 8 times, and this is the first time I have faced an issue like this.While booking, the Agoda app clearly showed that the room had Air Conditioning, which was one of the main reasons I selected and paid for this room. But after reaching the property, the staff informed me that it was actually a non-AC room and that I had to pay extra for an AC room. They also said that the AC information shown on Agoda was a mistake.This was very disappointing, especially because I had already made the payment based on the details shown in the app. I had to face unnecessary inconvenience after reaching the property.I hope Agoda and the property will make sure that the room details shown on the app are accurate so that other customers don’t face the same problem.
