I am sharing this review with real disappointment because I was really excited to stay at Hyatt Regency Trivandrum. It was going to be my first time staying at a five-star hotel, but the experience before I even arrived was so disappointing that I ended up cancelling my 20-night booking. I reserved through Booking.com for 20 nights at about £1,411, including breakfast, which is a big booking and a lot of money. Before traveling, I reached out to the hotel via Booking.com to ask about their airport shuttle and its cost. I got a welcome message but no answer to my question. I followed up again but still got no reply. After chasing them, I was finally told the airport transfer would cost ₹1,500 plus tax. I was just trying to arrange a simple airport transfer, but getting a basic reply was unnecessarily hard. I also checked that an Uber from Trivandrum International Airport to the hotel costs about ₹400. What upset me most wasn’t the price but the poor communication and how much effort I had to make to get a response. I even asked if, since I was traveling alone and staying 20 nights, they might offer airport pickup and drop-off as a goodwill gesture. I had seen their Instagram promotions for guests staying four nights or more, so I thought it was a fair question given my long and valuable stay. Only after persistent efforts and reaching management was I offered free airport pickup and drop-off. But by then, the damage was done. For me, it was no longer about the transfer but the total lack of confidence in the service I could expect during a 20-night stay. If communication and basic customer service are this hard before arrival, I didn’t feel comfortable committing to such a long stay. So, I cancelled my reservation. I want to be clear that this review is based on my experience before my stay—I never actually stayed at the hotel. I’m just sharing what happened during booking and before arrival. I was truly excited to stay at a Hyatt five-star hotel for the first time, but after spending so much time trying to get simple questions answered and chasing the hotel repeatedly, I felt very disappointed and let down. A five-star hotel should offer five-star communication and service from the moment a guest makes a big booking—not only after the guest escalates to management. Sadly, I lost trust and confidence in Hyatt Regency Trivandrum before I even arrived, which is why I cancelled my 20-night booking.

Our stay at Hyatt Regency Trivandrum was truly exceptional. It was a surprise trip for my wife, and the hotel made it even more memorable. From arrival, the luxury and meticulous care were evident. The staff were incredibly polite, friendly, and genuinely kind throughout our visit. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, spacious, and well-kept, with high-quality bathroom products. Valet parking was very convenient since we traveled by car. The pool was excellent, and the gym was well-equipped and well-maintained. We especially enjoyed the breakfast, which offered a wide range of choices and was of great quality. Overall, the rooms, facilities, service, and hospitality were outstanding. It was a stay to remember, and I highly recommend Hyatt Regency Trivandrum for anyone seeking a luxurious and comfortable stay.
