Hotel Vk Inn, Near Prayagraj Junction

The hotel is strangely expensive for the kind of quality it offers and is not exactly worth the money. Having come here as a 3rd stop after Varanasi and Ayodhya and having stayed at UPSTDC properties there too, it came as a surprise when they said that Bfast as part of package is only for 'Suites' -something which is not mentioned on the UPSTDC website (I showed them the website where it's not mentioned so they shared a rate card - see pic, which says Bfast only for suites, wonder why is this not mentioned on the UPSTDC website). The food is not great and is definitely expensive, they didn't have tandoori roti and a very small tawa chapati costs Rs. 25 (see pic) which in a better restaurant in Prayagraj would cost 20-25% cheaper and would also be much bigger in potion size. Taxi rates to airport from their travel desk is 1800 for an ertiga while an Uber costs around 500. The hotel's boat ride to Sangam was quoted 3000 by the reception staff while it was actually 2100 if you walk to the jetty which is max 30 mts from the hotel. We ordered veg pakodas especially asking for potato pakodas for the kid and they served only onion pakodas saying they goofed up and asked us to order afresh potato pakodas if we still needed that. Basically every ancillary item quoted by the hotel is overpriced and not value for money at all. If I especially compare this to Rahi Tourist Bungalow Varanasi or Saryu Atithi Griha, Ayodhya (both UPSTDC) where we stayed before here, it's quite a let down. The rooms are just about ok but the heater here doesn't heat up anything except itself and the bathrooms have leaky taps. The TV set top box stand is broken and mosquitoes have a great time in the room. The only thing that is really great is the location...bang on the Yamuna.

Location is good rest all things are worst . Staff behavior is very bad ,charging almost like a four star hotel this kind of services are not expected . Manager have no control on staff and they even don't listen him .They misbehave with guests . This property prove that only good location can not make a hotel great. Over all third class hotel and in similar rate hou can get a good private hotel with proper hospitality.

Good location and garden, but that's all, waaaaay overpriced, tired old shabby rooms and building messy, staff were not very welcoming, view of construction for 5000r is insanely overpriced. Did not stay, found better place for 1800r

Good location. Yamuna view available only from first floor and above. Depressing rooms in the old building. Over priced AC deluxe room in New building. Poor infrastructure. No facility for ironing and making tea in rooms. Polite and helpful staff. The approach to nearby Yamuna river bank / boat club is dirtied by cooking activities of marriage parties arranged in hotel premises. Good parking space for guests.
