I am currently staying at Hotel Kanha Shyam in Prayagraj, and unfortunately, the experience has been quite disappointing. While the property is well-known, the current state of the hotel falls significantly short of basic hospitality standards.The primary and most inescapable issue is a very prominent, foul odor that permeates the property. This bad smell is heavily present inside the guest rooms, making it difficult to relax or feel comfortable. Furthermore, the same unpleasant odor lingers throughout the passages and corridors connecting the Reception/Front Office area to the guest rooms.For a hotel of this stature, proper ventilation, cleanliness, and a fresh ambiance are absolute minimum expectations. Walking through smelling corridors and sleeping in a room with a persistent bad odor is unacceptable.I strongly urge the management to look into their ventilation, carpeting, or housekeeping protocols immediately. Until this widespread odor issue is permanently resolved, I cannot recommend this hotel to fellow travelers or professionals visiting Prayagraj.
I liked the hotel location. It’s just 5 minutes from railway station. Room size is good. Washroom can be made better but not much issue. The best part of the whole stay was the breakfast. Excellent breakfast and equally excellent staff especially Maqsood, Ajay and chef Mishra were humble and were taking care of guests if they are treating them at their home. Kudos to this team.
Amazing Family Stay with Courteous Service!I recently stayed at Hotel Kanha Shyam with my family, and it was a thoroughly pleasant experience. We stayed in Club Room 816, which was impressively spacious, spotlessly clean, and very well-maintained, providing a highly comfortable environment for the family.The hospitality here deserves a special mention. From the front desk to the housekeeping staff, everyone was incredibly courteous, attentive, and welcoming throughout our stay.When it comes to dining, the quality of the food served was absolutely amazing and delicious. The only minor drawback is that the menu offers somewhat limited options, particularly in the vegetarian category. Expanding the vegetarian spread would make the dining experience even better.Overall, it was a fantastic stay. The hotel is excellent for both family trips and business visits. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting the area and look forward to staying here again!
