I was a part of the team representing our organization at IFAT2026 at NESCO for 9-11 Sep, 2026. I wanted to lose as less time as possible for commuting to the Expo. I searched extensively and found INDIE STAYS NESCO GOREGAON conveniently located and reserved the same. I am happy with that decision. I shall prefer to stay at this hotel in future.STAFF was very courteous, polite and attentive. Mr. Nilesh was attentive all the time, well supported by Rao, Vaibhav, Prakash, the ladies at the reception and the entire staff.CLEANLINESS was excellent – deserves higher than 5-start rating.FACILITIES were simply superb. The compact room lacked nothing. The hot-shower was EXCELLENT – AT PAR with any of those I have experienced in ‘5 Start’ hotels. Hot Water in shower has rarely been satisfactory in my experience with hotels in this price range. I would be happy if other hoteliers sought guidance from Indie Stays NESCO Goregaon how to achieve such instant and constant temperature hot water – so very satisfying. LOCATION is very convenient for attending NESCO (a walk of about 15 minutes – option to take an autorickshaw from Ram Mandir Station – EAST side), right adjacent to Western Railway Ram Mandir local train station – the foot-bridge is right adjacent to the hotel. I wish to offer this tip - For the first day I tried the shortest route by using the public foot-bridge to cross over to Ram Mandir East. I regretted it. The development work on the East side is still in progress – please ignore that route on Google Map - I do not recommend using that route. Alternative route – the 2nd day onwards, I preferred to purchase a local train journey ticket for a nearby Railway Station for Rs.5 (the legal way to use the ‘through the Railway Station route’) and chose to climb down on to the railway platform and then climb back up on to the other foot-bridge and over to the East side. This route is fairly straight forward. You also have the option of using the autorickshaw service – Rs.20 per person on shared basis or Rs.60 for non-shared service.

I recently stayed at IndieStays Goregaon Nesco, and unfortunately, the overall experience was quite disappointing. While the staff was courteous in one particular instance, there were several basic aspects of the stay that need significant improvement.The rooms are quite cramped, and the overall room design does not feel comfortable or well thought out. The quality of the linen was also below the standard expected from a hotel in this category.Cleanliness was another major concern. Despite requesting room cleaning and keeping the “Clean My Room” option switched on, the room had still not been cleaned when I returned late at night. Even the water bottles were not replenished. When I called the front desk, the response was simply that the staff member did not know why the room had not been cleaned. This is not an acceptable response to a basic housekeeping issue.The location is another significant drawback. The hotel is located right next to the Mumbai Local railway tracks and immediately adjacent to Ram Mandir Station. The entrance is tucked away under the station staircase, making it extremely difficult for cabs to reach the hotel porch. Getting dropped off or picked up can therefore be quite inconvenient, especially with luggage.The breakfast buffet also had very limited options. There were no non-vegetarian dishes apart from eggs, and overall the selection felt quite restricted.On the positive side, I did appreciate the kindness and flexibility of the breakfast staff. I reached breakfast around 10:30 AM, and although it was late, the staff accommodated my request and were kind enough to offer me food. That gesture was genuinely appreciated.Overall, however, the stay did not meet my expectations. The housekeeping, room comfort, cleanliness, breakfast variety and accessibility of the property all need improvement. The staff’s willingness to help was appreciated, but better systems and execution are needed to deliver a satisfactory guest experience.
