Also, photos were taken during the check-in process, and I wasn't sure if that was really necessary. It would be better if such procedures were explained clearly to guests beforehand.

The hotel was neat, well maintained. This is not a modern hotel. But this will give you old hotel vibes. It was clean, AC was good. Highly recommended if you are looking for a cozy stay with all access.
