Nice place to stay with your family.. highly recommended for staycation budget friendly place.. Restaurant food is excellent. Very helpful team right from reception, Room service, campfire activity.. Pool is very neatly maintained.. highly recommended place in Yercaud.. good playing area for kids and rabbit, ducks which steals kids attention. Value for money

The rooms were spacious and clean, curtains were little dirty, View from the room, pool area and parks are really beautiful. hotel arranged fire dance and bonfire are enjoyable and fun. Dinner faced delay delivering food in restaurant. Morning breakfast was really good. Despite the location and amenities offered really good and fun staying with kids.

I stayed at Kolaahalaam Mainland Resorts over the weekend and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience.

I stayed at Kolaahalaam Mainland Resorts over the weekend and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience.We checked into rooms 1020 and 1019. While room 1020 was initially said to take 20 minutes to be ready, it was handed over in under 10 minutes—which in hindsight explained the poor housekeeping. Upon entering, we noticed stains on the bedspread and dirty pillows. When we removed the bedsheet, we found a large amount of hair from previous guests, which was extremely unpleasant.We immediately asked for replacements, but the housekeeping staff initially insisted the linens were fresh, which clearly wasn’t the case. Only after pushing further did they replace them. To make matters worse, the mattress itself was dusty and stained, and had to be vacuumed before fresh sheets were finally put on.The issues didn’t stop there:Frequent power cuts throughout the stay (almost constant), which also affected hot water availability.Geyser capacity was very poor—hot water ran out quickly.Washbasin in room 1020 had only hot water when the geyser was on, no cold water at all.One room had a hair dryer, the other didn’t.Fan was noisy and the control switch was hidden behind furniture—very inconvenient, especially for elderly guests.Amenities were below expectations:The pool was small (around 5 feet), dirty, and had stray hair floating in it.Jacuzzi was not functional and filled with junk.The area near the pool had a foul smell, possibly from sewage.No pool towels, no lifeguard, and no basic recreational items.Washrooms near the pool were unhygienic and smelly.Service was inconsistent:Food quality (lunch, dinner buffet, breakfast) was decent, but service was slow.Tea service to the room was poorly handled—cups were spilled and not cleaned properly.No proper response or ownership from staff in several instances.Other inconveniences:No place to hang clothes or towels in the bathroom.Indoor games were very limited.Walkways (like to the bonfire) were unsafe, especially for seniors.No air conditioning anywhere in the property.Spa information wasn’t available when requested.Positives:The evening entertainment (dance instructor and fire show) was enjoyable.The security guard was very helpful, especially during power cuts.Lastly, the approach road to the property is extremely congested—just the last 2 km took us nearly 2 hours to cover.For approximately 15,000 for two rooms, this property is not worth the price. Overall, it felt poorly maintained, badly managed, and far from value for money. The online reviews seem misleading.I would not recommend this property and would not visit again.
