LE MONTFORT RESORT

The rooms were very comfortable and the location was so unique - to wake up in the middle of the forest was stunning! There were also great views of the mountains.The restaurant was a real highlight - we ate there both nights we stayed there as the hotel was a fair drive distance from Munnar itself. Delicious local curries and dal, and great service.

The hospitality is excellent! The rooms are spacious with a view of the hills and the forest.. very serene. The staff are very warm and welcoming. The location is awesome for scenic beauty. the entire restaurant staff and the chefs who provided us with customised food to meet our needs deserve a section mention, especially Tiju, Akshay, anamika and of course chef Akhil!Thank you for making our stay memorable!Definitely recommend this resort for a getaway!

My wife and I had a great stay. The place is beautiful in every detail. Our room was in the back which required going up the stairs every time we wanted to get to the restaurant or the reception. They do have a golfcart that can take you there if needed, but the place is so beautiful that we preferred walking. Both breakfast and dinners were very good with a wide selection.We took the 7 AM "soft trek" walking tour with one of the staff members, I think her name was Rekha. She took us to the heart of a tea plantation and gave good explanations. Overall I recommend this place.On the downside, the resort is out of the city, so no nearby restaurants. The road to the resort is very narrow and curving. We came with a taxi but I wouldn't have tried to drive there on my own.

Fantastic experience! Location is exquisite, and don't miss the morning soft hike. Food is terrific, buffet had everything. This was a perfect Munnar 2 night experience. Staff was very attentive and caring. I dont know all the names, but Roopa and Dinesh at the front desk, and Vikas at the restaurant were exceptional. My wife came bavk glowing after a facial with Gopika. I'm sure everyone helped, but I don't know other names.

I had the pleasure of spending eight fabulous days at the Le Montfort and what an incredible experience it has been.While there are so many facets to enjoying this place what stood out most is the very kind, loving people that work here. The attentiveness of each and every team member is astounding and the best kindness in doing what they do. I can see the passionate camaraderie shared by them to being a close knit family, all with a common goal, to make this hotel outstanding and treat each other and the guests with gentleness and kindness.Getting to the hotel was an adventure within itself. Passing through Munnar and winding up the beautiful mountains, each turn has views that made me keep saying ’wow’ and then arriving at this remote and secluded location. The view from the hotel of the surrounding mountains and beautiful valley below is incredible; just the way nature intended it to be.Greeted at the front entrance by India’s Most Beautiful pageant members :) you will immediately feel the peace and kindness entering the property. I felt special.The front desk made everything very smooth and I got to experience three different rooms and suites while here. A jungle view with the sounds of nature right out the front of my balcony. The south facing suite with amazing views of the valley below. And what I nicknamed the James Bond suite overlooking the garden and valley views from the balcony.You will truly be treated like royalty here and all resources are used to provide a lovely welcome and I felt so well looked after. There is no lack of Human Resources from a team that really wants to make my trip one of a lifetime. It’s not that I had to look for staff or wait for help, it is simply there, like magic.This is my fist time to India having traveled to many other places in the world and live in a tourist destination. I realized this country is where I have received the most amount of smiles: genuine human kindness coupled with a smile that made me feel like I was already been befriended with happiness. There’s so many places in this world to travel to that I don’t have many countries that I would repeat: India is definitely the place I would come back to and 100% at the Le Montfort.From the kind people that clean the rooms immaculately, the groundskeeping team, the front gate sentinels, the restaurant and kitchen teams, front desk team and wonderful tour guide executive Rakhi, attentive managers and General Manager who is present and leads by example: you will not find a more cohesive team of hospitality, love and kindness who will made my stay even more enjoyable and memorable.Thank you for such an incredible eight days of peace of mind and vitamins for my soul. I am grateful.Bless up and give thanks.
