The place is very clean and the food is hygienic and tasty, made from ingredients grown in their own kitchen garden. The staff are very polite.

If you are planning a visit to Leh, I highly suggest staying at Leh Stumpa Homestay. Our experience there was unforgettable, and it truly felt like living with a local family rather than staying in a hotel. The hosts are very kind, welcoming, and always willing to assist. One of the highlights of this homestay is the amazing view. The rooms are surrounded by stunning mountains, and at night you can see the beautifully lit Shanti Stupa right from the property, creating a magical ambiance. The location is also very convenient—just about 1.5 km from Leh Market, 1.2 km from Shanti Stupa, and only a 15-minute drive from Leh Airport, making it easy to explore the city while enjoying a quiet stay. The food is tasty, and the dining area has a cozy, homely feel that makes every meal feel like dining with family. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-designed. If you enjoy waking up to wide mountain views, I recommend booking a room on the upper floor. For a tranquil garden view, the ground-floor rooms are a great option.

I organized a 10-day yoga and meditation retreat at this place. Everything was wonderful—the hospitality, the staff, the meals, and the amenities. I intend to host more retreats here going forward. All the food served is fresh and organic, with vegetables and dishes sourced directly from their garden. The quality difference in the food is noticeable. Stany, Rigzin, and Aunty were very kind and supportive. They assisted me with all my needs, including taxi bookings and arranging a village tour. My participants were very pleased, and some even extended their stay after the retreat concluded. The warmth of the people here truly means a lot.
