Raybo Hostel

I have been staying here since 2024, sometimes for up to 3 months while working remotely. The place is very pleasant and comfortable for extended stays. The staff and people are friendly and supportive. I particularly enjoy the theatre room, garden, and rooftop, which are excellent spots to work, relax, and unwind. The main problem is with management and room assignments. There is frequent confusion about which dorms are female-only and which are mixed. I had clearly communicated my preference for a dorm with an attached washroom, as I am uncomfortable sharing a common washroom with 12 people. Initially, the manager Nisanth and Soonhu helped me secure a room with an attached washroom, which I appreciated. However, after a few weeks, I was informed that the room would revert to a mixed dorm once the female-only dorm requirement ended. This was disappointing since I had already expressed my preference clearly. My only request to management is to be upfront and transparent with guests from the start about room types and washroom facilities, instead of changing arrangements later based on room availability or occupancy. Guests have their own comfort and preferences that should be respected. Hygiene and comfort are especially important for those staying long-term.

Wonderful welcoming spot with extremely supportive staff, I would certainly return, thanks for everything

Great location, pleasant ambiance, excellent service, and staff who are both friendly and helpful 💓 Special thanks to Nandini Verma for arranging the entertainment. It offers the best view and is the only hostel featuring a cinema.

This hostel is very cozy, featuring a great atmosphere and welcoming staff. The rooms are tidy, prices are reasonable, and breakfast comes included. The standout feature is the rooftop offering breathtaking mountain views, along with inviting common spaces like a courtyard, kitchen, and a movie room equipped with a projector. The ambiance was fantastic, and I met many other travelers, leading us to join up for local trips and enjoy our time together. Special thanks to the owner, Eshay, and the team—Nishan and others—who were always cheerful and went above and beyond to assist. On the downside, the hostel is somewhat tucked away and quite a distance from Main Street, requiring an uphill walk that can be challenging with heavy bags. However, this elevated spot ensures a peaceful, quiet environment with amazing mountain scenery. Also, cooking for yourself isn't permitted in the kitchen, so meals must be ordered at an additional cost. Still, the food is delicious and affordable, with drinks available for purchase. Guests have free access to a fridge and water dispenser. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would consider returning.

Rooms and washrooms are very clean, located perfectly with beautiful views and less crowded. Nishanth can provide excellent recommendations. The food is tasty as well, making it a wonderful spot to relax and discover Ladakh.
