The Grand Yasmin Ladakh

I booked a complete Leh-Ladakh tour package from 22nd july to 29th july through a travel company, and all my hotel bookings and local travel arrangements were managed by The Grand Yasmin Ladakh.During the first five days of my trip, everything went smoothly, and my family and I were enjoying our vacation. However, on the sixth day, while going forward from Pangong Lake and after travelling approximately 25’30 km from the lake, our driver informed us that The Grand Yasmin had instructed him not to continue the journey because the travel company had not paid them the remaining amount.I immediately contacted the travel company and informed them that I had already paid the full tour amount in advance. I requested them to resolve the payment issue directly with The Grand Yasmin so that my family’s holiday would not be affected.Unfortunately, instead of resolving the issue professionally, The Grand Yasmin asked us to wait on the roadside for nearly four hours while they argued with the travel company over the pending payment. We were stranded in an isolated area under harsh sunlight, with strong winds and the low oxygen levels that are common at such high altitudes in Ladakh. This was not only extremely uncomfortable but also posed a serious risk to the health and safety of my family. Despite knowing the conditions, Finally, they refused to allow us to continue our journey and forced us to return to Leh, resulting in the cancellation of the remaining part of our itinerary. During this time, I even suggested a temporary solution whereby I would pay part of the disputed amount so that my family’s trip could continue, and the hotel and travel company could settle the balance later. However, The Grand Yasmin refused to consider any such solution. Their only concern was recovering their money from the travel company, without any regard for the inconvenience caused to us. After returning to Leh, I had no choice but to stay at The Grand Yasmin for the remaining two nights of my trip. To make matters worse, I was also asked to pay additional charges for these two nights, despite the fact that the disruption was caused entirely by the dispute between the hotel and the travel company. The payment dispute was solely between The Grand Yasmin and the travel company. As a customer, I had already fulfilled my responsibility by paying the full tour cost. It was extremely unfair and unacceptable that my family and I were made to suffer because of a commercial dispute between two businesses. We travelled all the way from Mumbai to experience the beauty of Leh-Ladakh, but instead of creating unforgettable memories, we were left disappointed, stressed, and emotionally distressed. A family vacation that had been planned with great excitement was ruined due to the lack of professionalism, coordination, and basic humanity shown by The Grand Yasmin.No customer should ever be held responsible for a financial dispute between a hotel and a travel agent. Such issues should be resolved internally without affecting guests who have already paid for their holiday in full.I expect a detailed explanation for this unacceptable treatment, for the mental stress, inconvenience, loss of valuable vacation time, and the portion of the tour that I was unable to complete due to the actions of The Grand Yasmin.

Instead of handling it professionally, The Grand Yasmin made us wait roadside for nearly four hours while they argued with the travel company over the unpaid amount. We were stuck in a remote area under harsh sun, strong winds, and low oxygen typical of Ladakh's altitude, which was very uncomfortable and risky for my family's health. Despite this, they refused to let us continue and forced us to return to Leh, canceling the rest of our itinerary. I even offered to pay part of the disputed sum temporarily so our trip could go on and the hotel and travel company could settle later, but The Grand Yasmin wouldn't consider it. Their only focus was recovering their money from the travel company, ignoring the inconvenience to us. After returning to Leh, I had to stay at The Grand Yasmin for the last two nights and was asked to pay extra charges, even though the disruption was caused by the dispute between the hotel and travel company. The payment issue was between The Grand Yasmin and the travel company; as a customer, I had paid in full. It was unfair and unacceptable that my family suffered due to a business dispute. We traveled from Mumbai to enjoy Leh-Ladakh's beauty, but instead of great memories, we were left disappointed, stressed, and emotionally upset. A family vacation planned with excitement was ruined by The Grand Yasmin's lack of professionalism, coordination, and basic humanity. No customer should be held responsible for a financial dispute between a hotel and travel agent. Such problems should be resolved internally without affecting guests who have already paid in full. I expect a detailed explanation for this unacceptable treatment, the mental stress, inconvenience, lost vacation time, and the part of the tour I couldn't complete because of The Grand Yasmin's actions.

Excellent service and friendly staff. The location is very near to Leh Market.

The room service was excellent, and the food was both delicious and well-presented.
