I booked a full Leh-Ladakh tour package from July 22 to July 29 through a travel agency, with all hotel bookings and local travel arranged by The Grand Yasmin Ladakh. The first five days went well, and my family and I enjoyed our trip. But on the sixth day, after traveling about 25–30 km from Pangong Lake, our driver told us that The Grand Yasmin had instructed him to stop because the travel company hadn't paid the remaining balance. I contacted the travel company and told them I had already paid the full amount upfront, asking them to sort out the payment issue with The Grand Yasmin so our holiday wouldn't be disrupted. Instead of handling it professionally, The Grand Yasmin made us wait roadside for nearly four hours while they argued with the travel company over the unpaid amount. We were stuck in a remote area under harsh sun, strong winds, and low oxygen typical of Ladakh's altitude, which was very uncomfortable and risky for my family's health. Despite this, they refused to let us continue and forced us to return to Leh, canceling the rest of our itinerary. I even offered to pay part of the disputed sum temporarily so our trip could go on and the hotel and travel company could settle later, but The Grand Yasmin wouldn't consider it. Their only focus was recovering their money from the travel company, ignoring the inconvenience to us. After returning to Leh, I had to stay at The Grand Yasmin for the last two nights and was asked to pay extra charges, even though the disruption was caused by the dispute between the hotel and travel company. The payment issue was between The Grand Yasmin and the travel company; as a customer, I had paid in full. It was unfair and unacceptable that my family suffered due to a business dispute. We traveled from Mumbai to enjoy Leh-Ladakh's beauty, but instead of great memories, we were left disappointed, stressed, and emotionally upset. A family vacation planned with excitement was ruined by The Grand Yasmin's lack of professionalism, coordination, and basic humanity. No customer should be held responsible for a financial dispute between a hotel and travel agent. Such problems should be resolved internally without affecting guests who have already paid in full. I expect a detailed explanation for this unacceptable treatment, the mental stress, inconvenience, lost vacation time, and the part of the tour I couldn't complete because of The Grand Yasmin's actions.
