We spent two nights at The Bohemian LeHostel in the Private Deluxe Room with a Balcony. While the location and the views were definite positives, our stay was negatively affected by poor management, housekeeping problems, and insufficient staff. The location is excellent, just a short 1 to 3-minute walk from Leh Main Market, making it easy to access food and shopping. The balcony and room window provide amazing, clear views of Leh Palace and the town, especially beautiful at night when the palace is lit up. However, basic amenities like bottled water were not available in the room before check-in and had to be requested. We asked for our room to be cleaned during the day, but it was left untouched. The manager first said it was cleaned but later explained that recent rain delayed laundry, so they had no clean quilt covers or towels. The quilt on our bed was stained, and instead of a fresh replacement, we were given double blankets due to the lack of clean bedding. Service was slow and disorganized, indicating a shortage of staff. The property has great potential because of its location and views, but basic cleanliness, dependable housekeeping, and standard amenities should be expected, especially in a private deluxe room. Until management fixes staffing and operational problems, it is difficult to fully recommend this place.

This hostel truly feels like home. Traveling alone to Leh, I booked a 6-bed dorm and requested bed number 4 for the view of Leh Palace. Despite the high demand, the staff made sure my wish was fulfilled. A huge and special thanks to Dheeraj bhaiya for providing such warm, home-like hospitality. Thank you! :)
