The Pangong Hotel offers excellent dining options and very attentive staff, but the room amenities do not fully meet the advertised features. We stayed in a Superior Double Room for two nights in July 2026. Highlights include a spacious room with blackout curtains and some mountain views, a varied menu with good quality food and breakfast, outstanding restaurant service with staff who go the extra mile (notably Abdul), polite and helpful hotel personnel, and a clean bathroom. However, the room lacks the promised soundproofing and the air conditioning does not work, plus the bathroom is small. This hotel is ideal for those who prioritize great food and service, but if room comfort and quiet are important to you, be aware that the room facilities may not live up to expectations.

The rooms are fantastic, and the food service and location are outstanding. However, I would be cautious about renting a car from the desk agent Ashish. The Innova Crysta provided was a modified version without rear AC vents functioning and no Bluetooth, making it unbearably hot for 10 days. Additionally, he reneged on the agreed rates and demanded extra payment. If you plan to rent the car, make sure to inspect it the night before your trip to confirm it is a genuine Innova with all AC features working, as it will be your accommodation for the next 10 days.
