Perfect location to spend 48 hours acclimatizing to Leh. Has good WiFi, dorms, vegetarian kitchen, and 30 min walking distance to shanti-stupa. Staffs were great, check-in was fast and remote door unlock very convenient. A washing machine would really top it off.

**Good:**I stayed at The Hosteller Bayshu again after 3 days, before my flight back, which itself says that the stay was comfortable enough to return to. The location remains a major advantage—close to the city centre and within walking distance of the market. The food was consistently good in terms of taste and quality, and having a fully vegetarian menu was a big plus. Bhairav Singh and the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful throughout.**Could be better:**My second stay also reinforced the same drawbacks. Compared with other Hosteller properties, the overall vibe here feels quite dull, with limited entertainment or social spaces—no pool, games, or regular bonfire activities. The rooms are decent but lack some basic conveniences like a telephone and locker. Also, the overall hospitality and amenities don't quite match what I would expect from hotels at a similar price point.**Overall:** I chose to stay here again because of the convenient location, decent rooms, good vegetarian food, and friendly staff. It's a practical and comfortable option, but don't expect the lively Hosteller experience or hotel-level amenities found elsewhere.
