Lemongrass Inn

Very nice, clean hotel. Location is not great in regards to Munnar and activities. The staff speaks poor english and are not very well trained, but they are friendly and accommodating when the language barrier is broken. Good food!

This is a poorly managed decent property.The hotel proudly claims itself to be a 4 * property.The location is 25 km distant from Munnar , if people like quietness this could have been good choice.Rooms are spacious, furniture’s are restored from the curio shop but not the exotic ones . Those are not the problems at all , as long as clean linen, toilets , right room temperature are available- I would have given 5 star rating .It feels like the property owner has placed some local boys at work without any training on customer & property management service . Just a few random local guys without any uniforms or any identification- no way to distinguish if the dude standing with a bottle of water at the door has just walked in to the hotel or he is a support staff . It’s bizarre . They left only one bottle of filter water ,on asking two extra bottles , they delivered one bottle again. They toilet walls were stained , it’s visible that team don’t have equipment’s n machines for commercial maintenance. On my request they came to clean the toilet walls , that’s when I realised the hotel owners is running this property with a bunch of cheap labourers.The toilet did not have tissues , on my request they just left one lean pack .As you enter the hotel lobby , you can see some tacky images of the hotel owners at NewYork harbour .I think this hotel has a great potential to be managed by some big brands once this place gets some more footfall .

we stayed in the lemongrass Inn for two nights. It is a pretty decent place. The rooms are clean reasonably well maintained. The beds are good. Bathrooms are also clean. You can see the pictures. The problem is with the hot water. You don’t get hot water because they’re dependent on solar.Also we had an extra guest booked in our room and when we asked for extra blankets, they said no and not giving and then they had to check with Agency and give it so it’s something they could avoid in terms of service, it is a star hotel and they can just give blankets without all the hassle.The restaurant in the hotel is also decent food just slightly pricey on the higher side. The food quality was OK. We tried a lot of chicken at dishes and breakfast was also d we decent with all of them were good. You can see the pictures to get an idea so you can definitely try the food at the restaurant.

Very modest and nice place . We had checked in here due to a problem with another hotel and the staff treated us very well. The rooms are big and spacious enough for 3. Food is also good. Thanks to Vishnu who assisted us all the way. Keep it up.

Peaceful and quiet with a nice view. The rooms were standard. The staff were friendly. The food in the restaurant was tasty.
