It's a heritage residential property, converted into a hotel with rooftop restaurant. Rooms are huge old style large area, large bathroom. Tariff is bit on the higher side. People who want to experience the old world charm, this is the place to stay in Ahmedabad.

MG Haveli ’ Extremely Disrespectful & Unprofessional ManagerRecently, I contacted MG Haveli for my marriage photoshoot and spoke with the manager, Mr. Badal. His behavior during the phone call was shocking and highly disrespectful. He spoke in a rude, careless manner, as if he was talking to some local roadside person, not a customer planning an important wedding event. There was no respect, no professionalism, and no proper answers to my questions. His attitude alone is enough to ruin trust. I am completely dissatisfied and this kind of behavior is unacceptable for a place dealing with weddings and premium services. Strongly not recommended.

This open central space brings light and ventilation into the home, while rooms surround it on multiple levels. The architecture blends practicality with art ’ decorative facades, hand-carved brackets, and detailed wooden ceilings that highlight the rich artisan skills of that era ’’’Inside, you’ll often find restored rooms showcasing antique furniture, old photographs, traditional floor seating, and heritage elements that give a real glimpse into how affluent merchant families lived. Many such havelis also include a prayer room, storage cellars, upper-floor residences and quiet corners overlooking the street below ’’’’The haveli stands as a reminder of Ahmedabad’s vibrant past ’ peaceful, elegant and full of cultural character.
