This resort stay was one of the most disappointing I've experienced. The cost they ask for does not match the quality or service offered. The rooms are spacious, but that's the only good thing. They don't even have basic facilities like a refrigerator, which is common in most resorts. The rooms were dirty, with spider webs on the walls, dust on the floor, and hair in the bathroom despite housekeeping supposedly cleaning. Upon entering, there was a terrible odor in both the room and bathroom, as if the room had been sealed without ventilation for months. We requested room freshener twice, but it barely helped. The bathrooms are old, badly maintained, and need a full renovation. The reception staff lacked any hospitality, responding to complaints with cold indifference, seeming more interested in money than guest satisfaction. The worst part was breakfast, where we saw cockroaches on tables and chairs, which completely ruined our appetite. After seeing such poor hygiene, we didn't feel comfortable eating the free breakfast. Additionally, the resort charged my 10-year-old son as an adult. When I asked about this, Mr. Karthik said it was their policy. I've stayed in many places, but this is the first time a 10-year-old was charged adult rates, which felt like a way to get more money from guests. Overall, the resort is badly maintained, unhygienic, and has poor customer service. It charges high prices but offers a subpar experience. I wouldn't recommend this resort until they improve cleanliness, hospitality, and guest policies.

The hotel shouldnt accept any bookings if they are doing repair works. The hotel room was pathetic, bathroom even worse, all the hooks broken and water leaking from everywhere. Out of the room also it was the same everywhere water was leaking including the ceilings. There was nothing provided in the room except two bottles of water and two bath towels. Hand towels were pathetic. My child was staying with us so they charged us more as an extra adult but nothing was provided even after charging so much, no toiletries, no dental packs, no footwears, for every single thing we had to ask them. The staff were all well behaved except the manager who was very shrewd. Food was good but over expensive. I would not recommend this to anyone at all.

1/5 – Disappointing Stay, Resort Needs Major ImprovementsWe stayed at UVA Meridian Bay Resort & Spa expecting a relaxing family vacation, but unfortunately the experience did not meet our expectations. The resort is currently undergoing renovation and I feel guests should either be informed beforehand, the room rates should be reduced or parts of the resort should be temporarily closed until the facilities are restored.Here are my observations:Room* The bathroom drain was clogged, causing water to accumulate.* The bathroom exhaust fan was not working.* The TV had an outdated connection and did not function.* There were very few convenient charging points for mobile phones.* Although I had booked a king-size bed, it consisted of two single mattresses placed together, leaving an uncomfortable gap that affected our sleep.Facilities* There were frequent power cuts. Every time the power returned, the air conditioner had to be switched on again manually. This became especially frustrating during the night.* The swimming pool was clean and well maintained, and this was one of the few highlights for our kids.* However, the children’s play areas were poorly maintained, with several play items damaged or unusable.Water Amusement ParkThis was the biggest disappointment. Even with the 20% discount offered to resort guests, it was not worth the additional cost. Only a few children’s water slides were operational, while most of the attractions were closed or unusable. We ended up spending more time in the resort swimming pool, which was far more enjoyable.FoodThe food was average. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t memorable either.StaffThe staff were courteous, polite and always willing to help. This was definitely the strongest positive aspect of our stay.OverallThe property has good potential and appears to have been an excellent resort in the past, but it currently requires significant maintenance and renovation. Until the renovation is completed and all facilities are fully operational, I believe the pricing should better reflect the current condition of the property.I hope the management completes the renovation soon, because the location and the staff deserve a much better overall experience.

Not worth the price. They charge 5k per room each night. The hallways were dirty, the toilet was clogged, and when we requested a room change, we were told it wasn't possible. Overall, a poor experience considering the cost. The property is very poorly maintained. I wouldn't recommend this place even if it were cheaper.
