Roland Hotel

I had a really pleasant stay at the hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the basic amenities you’d need for a short trip. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The location was convenient, making it easy to get around and explore the area.

We booked this hotel on a very short notice because of a bad experience with our Airbnb.First impressions were good. The reception staff agreed for us to see the bedrooms prior to booking. We stayed in a deluxe room. Comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. With 4 pieces of luggage it was cramped but still manageable.The real stars of the hotel are the staff: friendly professional and super helpful. We lost some shopping and thanks the security guard managed to retrieve it. Housekeeping were efficient and the food ordered via room service was well cooked. We especially liked the vegetable pilau rice and chicken legs. The quantities are generous.We were a group of 5 ranging from 22 -81 in age. We all agreed that we would stay there again. Its very conveniently positioned for Gariahat and Ballygunge.If I was to nitpick it would be to ask them to invest in new towels and bath mats which looked a bit tired (but still clean) and to provide mugs on the tea/coffee service in each room.Thank you to all the staff for a comfortable stay.

Recently we had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The receptionist was more than courteous to our needs and requirements. The hotel is situated at a very good location and within budget. The only issue is that the given ph no in map does not work as of now.Overall the the service and location are good and it is fair to give the 5 stars.This is a place I would keep in mind for my next visit to Kolkata.

The Roland Hotel has good sized bedrooms that are clean with comfortable beds. There is a good shower with plenty of power / flow. However, the rooms are a bit tired and could do with a lick of paint - the photos on their website were obviously taken a few years ago and are not totally representative of how it looks now. The restaurant is also nothing like the photos on the website, however I didn’t eat at it. The staff are friendly and helpful, with any issues dealt with quickly. The WiFi is slow and pretty rubbish, I ended up just using my phones 4G data. There is a very good restaurant a 2 minute walk away from the hotel called Perima’s, well worth a try.
