I booked a Platinum room for 7 nights via Agoda but upon checking in, I was given a downgraded (Deluxe) room because the Platinum rooms were not available despite booking it weeks in advance. The receptionist/manager told me I'll have to wait for a couple of nights before I can get a Platinum room, so I contact Agoda support team and they made sure that I got the right room the next morning.Apart from that hassle, everything else went smoothly during my stay. You get Idli-sambar or omlette as options for the breakfast. The service staff are nice and accomodating. One area of improvement could be their time of servicing the rooms. 11:30 am is just too late to clean them, especially when tourists start their day early.
Not value to the money, need improvement
The owner Siddhartha Mitra should improve his behavior towards guests. He actually threatened me that my luggage would be moved to another room in my absence without any formal notice or clear communication between me and the staff. This happened even though I had already paid in full for two nights for the same room. I was assigned two different rooms on separate nights without proper communication. On the other hand, Farmin at the reception was excellent. She handled the situation maturely and sensibly. Thank you, Farmin, for your empathy. I hope Siddhartha can learn from you. God bless you, Farmin. Overall, the rooms are fine. The stay and this review would have been better if the owner Siddhartha had behaved properly.
