Sapphire Club Cherai Beach Villa

Very smooth check in and communication, very well equipped and comfort rooms. Nice terraces with sea views to chill and really nice breakfast. I recommend it!

Stayed for 3 days in Jan-26. Hotel has 7-8 rooms, but the best rooms (only 2) are the ’Deluxe Double Room with Sea View’ on the 1st floor. There is a big balcony on the 1st floor which is a common sitting area for multiple rooms from where the sea view is great. We can observe the fishing boats passing throughout the day. One also has to bear with a small dry garbage dump outside the premises which is tolerable. Environment is calm & quiet with hardly any crowd.While the sea is right across the road in front of the hotel, there is no sandy beach but stones. We, of course, sat there & watch sunset. Sandy Cherai beach is about 1.5 km away. There is no garden around, but we strolled through small lanes behind the hotel to reach backwaters in 10 minutes ’ good view here too.On the 2nd floor, they have a restaurant and a kitchen, but it is not operational. Only breakfast is provided if booked in advance, even 1 day before. We ordered our meals (including breakfast) from Lilliput Multi Cuisine restaurant (1.6 km), which is near Cherai Beach. We dined at different local restaurants, about 400 meters away from the hotel. We visited Cherai Town (5-6 Km) for small shopping and had good south Indian food at Vrindavan (Veg) Restaurant.The rooms are a bit small but clean and comfortable. A little more maintenance could have made matters great. Wi-Fi, tea/coffee maker provided. The staff, especially Alwin, the so-called manager, are friendly and helpful, which ensured a pleasant stay. He arranged Auto-rickshaw for local movements. Hotel does not arrange for scooters and cycles to rent to guests.It is a good place for a relaxing stay!

No meals. Only rooms with tea sachets. Order food from nearby shacks. Small place. Two rooms sea facing. Has a balcony on upper floor, one can sit whole day and verandah on lower floor . Staff is pleasant. No beach or promenade. Road in front is good for walking though no footpaths. Bit far from town.

Overall, a great experience. The only downside was a slight delay in getting the room on time, but everything else made up for it. Would definitely recommend.’

We had a very pleasant stay at Sapphire Club Cherai Beach Villa. The property is located on the main road running parallel to the beach and is extremely easy to reach using Google Maps. The check-in process was smooth and hassle-free.The room was clean, well maintained, and comfortable. Hot water was available round the clock, though we barely needed it in mid-January. Our sea-facing room on the first floor had access to a large common balcony with a table and chairs, offering a beautiful view of the sea. It was a lovely spot to relax.The staff were courteous and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast had a limited variety but the quantity was sufficient and satisfying. There are several restaurants nearby catering to different budgets, which makes dining convenient.Parking was not an issue, as 2’3 cars can be parked inside the property and there is additional open space outside. Both Cherai Beach and Munambam Beach are very close by. The beaches were calm and peaceful on weekdays, though they do get crowded on weekends.One of the highlights was the sunset at Munambam Beach, which is especially beautiful with the Chinese fishing nets in the background. In fact, the sunset can be enjoyed from almost any point along the road that runs parallel to Cherai Beach.Connectivity is good, as Kochi can be reached either by a shorter ferry route or by road from this location.Overall, we loved the location, surroundings, and the property. It is perfect for a quiet, relaxing, and fulfilling holiday. We will definitely recommend this place to our friends and are already planning to visit again.
