We were a group of 45’48 people who stayed here, and our overall experience was very good. The hospitality and arrangements were satisfactory, and the food served was also good. However, there is room for improvement in the welcome drink provided.Special thanks to Ms. Saranya for her excellent coordination and support throughout our stay.

Had an amazing stay at The Byke Select - Sunshine Grand. The entire experience was honestly so smooth and comfortable from start to finish. The hotel has such a chill and peaceful vibe, perfect for relaxing and enjoying Ooty’s weather. The rooms were neat, well maintained, and felt really cozy.’?Big appreciation to Ainsley’? for the incredible hospitality and sweet behaviour. Super friendly, respectful, and always ready to help with a smile. It’s rare to meet staff who make guests feel this welcomed and comfortable. Ainsley genuinely added a positive touch to the whole experience.The service was quick, the atmosphere was warm, and everything was handled professionally. The staff overall were very courteous and made sure the stay was pleasant in every way possible.Definitely one of those places that gives comfort, good energy, and great memories all together. If you’re visiting Ooty and looking for a stay that feels both relaxing and premium, this place is absolutely worth it. Would 100% recommend and would love to come back again.EARNED FULL RESPECT

1. Only location is fine as it's close to city center. However, since it is in main city center area, you can smell lot of pollution.2. We booked two deluxe rooms with balcony. Ironically both were of different sizes ( very much noticeable difference), old furnitures which were not maintained. Two rooms had different sizes cupboard too. So not sure how both the rooms are under same category.One room had two carpets on the floor because underneath floor tiles were broken. The carpet was very dirty. Room cleaning service was not good. On day2 we had to follow up a lot of times to get the cleaning done, still it was not done properly.3. Breakfast was totally mismanaged. The hotel capacity is much much more than what their restaurant area can accommodate. The breakfast area was a complete mess due to too many people turning up. Food was just okay. No salt in sambhar, chutney, sabji etc. during breakfast. Tea was pathetic.All in all , this was not even 2 star in true sense.We saw the rating on Google reviews before booking but seems the reviews are all paid/ fake.I myself saw 3-4 guests complaining about hotel at the reception, so really difficult to understand how this is 4.7 rated on Google.Beware!!

I recently stayed at The Byke Sunshine Grand in Ooty with my family, and overall it was a pleasant and comfortable experience.The hotel is located in a quiet and scenic area, offering nice views of the hills and a peaceful atmosphere away from the crowd. The rooms were spacious and decent, especially suitable for families. Cleanliness was acceptable, though there is scope for improvement in maintenance and upkeep.One of the best parts of the stay was the friendly and helpful staff. They were polite and tried their best to assist with requests, which made the experience better. ’The hotel serves pure vegetarian food, which is good in taste, but the breakfast options were limited and could be improved in variety and quality. ’Location-wise, it is slightly away from the main market, but still convenient for visiting major attractions in Ooty. ’Overall, I would say this hotel is a good budget-friendly option for families, especially if you prefer a calm stay and vegetarian food. However, improving food variety and room maintenance would make the experience even better.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS ’ Worst Experience EverI wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.My stay at The Byke Select - Sunshine Grand was a nightmare from start to finish.’ The Rooms: Extremely small, smelly, and poorly ventilated. It felt suffocating to sleep in there. To make matters worse, the bedsheets were old, stained, and clearly hadn't been replaced in ages.’ The Food: A total disaster. They use the same bland gravy for every single main course on the menu. Speaking of the menu’don't bother looking at it. Every time we tried to order something, we were told it was "not available."’ The Staff: They carry an unearned ego, acting like they work in a 5-star luxury resort. It’s clear they’ve never stepped foot in a real hotel to see what actual hospitality looks like.’ Fake Reviews: Don't be fooled by the high ratings. It’s obvious the staff writes their own reviews to mask the reality of this place.Verdict: This is easily the WORST HOTEL IN THE WORLD. Save your money and your sanity.
