The Heritage Club - Tripura Castle

It's environ is serene. AQI was 17. Excellent facilities. Food in restaurant was excellent. Breakfast spread was also very good. You get refreshed after staying here. I strongly recommend it.

A budget stay with a great owner and service. Minor issues though (rooms are not cozy, not well maintained, hot water trickles in the bathroom) - just make sure you check everything before agreeing to a room. Food was decent and staff was attentive and quick to attend to us.

Not very far from police bazaar, making it walkable to a lot of places. The caretaker was awesome, he helped us a lot and was very nice.The rooms we booked were very clean and spacious. Every room has a water and room heater, which is very essential. Even the food was good.

Probably one of the best homestays in Shillong that does full justice to the price point. All amenities are available incl heater inside room. Bonfire can be arranged and the view from the terrace covers whole Shillong. Breakfast and dinner had authentic taste and affordable price. We loved the host - George (very genuine person) & his family who hosted us well. Overall, this is a great value for money!

He was incredibly responsible and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed ’ whether it was extra blankets, local travel tips, or even last-minute requests. It genuinely felt like we were being cared for by a friend rather than just a host.One of the biggest highlights of our stay was the breathtaking view. The guest house is perfectly situated to overlook the scenic hills of Shillong, and the view from the terrace ’ as well as from a few of the rooms ’ was absolutely mesmerizing. At night, the twinkling city lights against the backdrop of the serene hills created a magical atmosphere. We spent hours simply soaking in the peaceful beauty and cool breeze from the terrace.The staff at the property also deserve special mention. Every single member we interacted with was polite, well-behaved, and always ready to help with a smile. They ensured that our stay remained comfortable and pleasant from check-in to check-out. It’s clear that the management takes great pride in maintaining high standards of hospitality.And of course, the food was another highlight! Both breakfast and dinner were delicious ’ fresh, flavorful, and made with care. The variety and quality of dishes exceeded our expectations, and kudos to the chef for preparing such tasty meals every day. Dining at the guest house felt homely yet refined, with a personal touch in every bite.Overall, The Shillong Hills Guest House offers a perfect blend of comfort, warmth, and natural beauty. Whether you’re visiting Shillong for a quiet getaway or a short family vacation, this place is a gem. With stunning views, exceptional service, and George’s outstanding hospitality, I can confidently say this was one of our best stays ever.Please note : There are some pictures uploaded by other guests which can be misleading, the poperty doesnt have a backyard or treehouse. The property does not offer buffet breakfast, it is brought to your rooms in the morning. Some people are giving bad reviews about some other hotels in this property's review section so dont get confused. Better call the owner George and clarify it with him. Dont bother the bad reviews.
