The Pear County

The view from the room was really beautiful and one of the few positives about the stay. However, the overall experience was disappointing and definitely not worth the amount charged.The food quality was average and overpriced for what was provided. One major issue was the lack of hot water in the evening. When we informed the staff about the water heater problem, instead of resolving it properly, they kept giving excuses.Nearby stays were providing hot water facilities, so this was quite unexpected.When we asked how guests were supposed to bathe in such chilled water, we were casually told to use the kettle, which was unreasonable and unprofessional.The barbeque experience was also below expectations and not worth the amount paid.Another disappointing part was during the campfire time. We were peacefully enjoying the weather and the atmosphere, but the staff repeatedly interrupted us saying that dinner was ready and asking us to go and eat immediately, which spoiled the experience and felt unnecessary.Overall, the stay did not justify the price, and the hospitality and service quality were poor. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this property.

We had a wonderful stay at Pear County, Kodaikanal. It's a peaceful retreat away from the noise, traffic, and pollution of city life. The Scandinavian room was beautifully designed and very comfortable, the staff were warm and welcoming, and the fresh, homely food was delicious. One of the highlights was enjoying freshly plucked pears from the orchard and spending evenings playing chess and carrom with other guests. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning with friends.

Our time at Pear County, Kodaikanal was delightful. It offered a quiet escape from the hustle, bustle, and pollution of urban living. The Scandinavian room was tastefully decorated and cozy, the staff greeted us warmly, and the fresh, homemade meals were tasty. A memorable part was savoring pears freshly picked from the orchard and spending evenings playing chess and carrom with fellow guests. We had a great experience and are eager to come back with friends.
